Social Security Rant continued:
As I drove down old 65
I was cruising down that old grapevine
Well I must have been doing at least about ninety five
Right there on the side of the road all broke down
Well who do you think was a-standing around
But the greatest country singer alive
Chorus
Well I'll change your flat tire, Merle
Don't you get your sweet country picking fingers
All covered with oil
'Cause you're a honky I know, but Merle you got soul
And I'll fix your flat tire Merle
Recordings
Nick Gravenites recorded this with Big Brother And The Holding Company on "Be A Brother", and it was covered by Pure Prairie League on "Two Lane Highway" as well as on the live album "Live Takin' The Stage"

This congressman painting a pretty picture of a fantasy , at one point his voice takes on a sinister tone, I can almost hear a hisss in it. Reminds me of a televangelest saying jesssssssusssssssssss, he started to sound like our dear leader. I read in the local hearst rag that wall street wants no part of the private investment funds to replace SS. It would only send fifty four billion dollars their way every year, but that would be in small accounts hardly worth their time.
A city boy can survive, they can have the goddam money, take all the money, all I care about is Iraq. "it is the war stupid"
howard dean going to be new DNR chairman, maybe this nightmare fantastic dream of lies going to end
did I hijack another post
hope not
I hope you had a happy birthday
Diane Rheims a hero of mine for years, I always wondered is she was a black woman. But her very slight accent is Lebanese. Her reply to the congressman was "We will see just who is scaring who"
Just call me a rush limbaugh ditto head, but I can't remember anything she said that was not right on.
