"god"

Post by sonofthesun » August 2nd, 2011, 2:49 am

could all this be the result of the "death" of "god"? in order to know "one"'s self, must it first "self" destruct? to allow it to become more than just "itself" in order to know "itself" fully...im not stating this perfectly but you should get the jist of my meaning...ie the big bang or whatever is the suicide of that which then becomes all this which is still everything, just in myriad forms, layers, dimensions, what have you. able to experience itself in infinite ways and all that is as defining of what "god" truly is

ehh, i think i rambled on too far, but whatever. any ideas? opinions? hatred? or other thoughts on the matter?

god, God, and G-d

I like god, he launched a thousand ships to rescue the Spartan gold
and I killed the God of the Nazi Pope at Auschwitz, that no good son of a bitch
and then there is G-d, well I don't know what IT is, but I have faith in IT and fear IT and love IT.

for what IT is worth
the "ITself"

Thank you for your ramble
you inspired me to ramble too

There is "no god" as there is "god"... the dualities that grind away at our very existence in search of the true Self. Eliminate that which is a barrier to Truth by dissolution of it's manifestation... when all things no longer interfere with questions, doubt or even happiness, then Truth will be revealed. Do not attempt this with your mind. That is the basic problem. No mind, no doubt, no difference. It is only mind that cares... it is only compassion that succeeds.

Sorry sonofthesun I was going to delete my post above. In my dream there were a lot of angry replies to it.

Bohr says here, "truth may well be another profound truth." It's this 'may be' that indicates ol' Niels is not even sure about that. The opposite of a profound truth is a profound un-truth... one willingly claimed in order to shadow the truth being spoken.

Funny how we know when we have had a nightmare but usually unsure as to what it was, isn't it?

Part of the problem with me is that I am not a very good writer. The nightmare was about antisemitism.

I don't have a problem having compassion for Hitler anymore. F_ck him, he is dead. Compassion for the Pope and George W. Bush is more difficult because they are still alive.

Listened to a show this morning about mysticism and heard a nice metaphor

"G_d is the ocean and we are the waves"

Thanks for the link to the Plath article. :D

The true purpose of the nukes (defense) is to protect the Nation's wealth. The greater the wealth, the more important defense must becomes. Although we live within the borders of the Nation and obey the laws of the Nation, it will be the wealth of the Nation that comes first in a time of threat or danger. What good is a Nation without any wealth?

... seems wealth is still there, just not in our treasury anymore... or the average wallet and such ... seems it keeps migrating upward, to the "elite" tippity top.

and it's that elite who are buying the politicians which in turn make the calls for military funding. Halliburton is a prime example of how much money, much less sway, they hold over Congress - the legal fund makers for gov't.

the battle between the Corporate Elites and the common American continues growing - an abyss between ideologies, as you well know. but these latest ploys by the 2%ers (who funded the Tea Party for the most part and had them elected), are the trouble makers in our Congress... holding up bills by adding their own bullshit into them (no unions on the FAA problem, aided by Delta which is the only American airline that does not have unions).

Like we have spoken many times before, the elite fear anything that hints at the big 'S' word which includes unions, health care, public anything (education, programs, woman's rights, abortion assistance), ... anything that the government has any say so. Look at whats happening to the EPA, which they are trying to dismantle... the list is getting larger and larger as their refusal to budge and compromise continues straight ahead.

All this really gives me pause as to how cognizant the Dem Party and Obama really are as to the obvious - the Repubs will do anything (and are) to stop any thing that resembles socialism at any cost. It is a threat to their wealth.

The Future of a Delustion
or maybe it is an Illusion

so much fear these days
fundamentalists need something to cling to

"just give me one thing that I can hold on to.
To believe in this living is just a hard way to go.
make me an angel that flies from Montgomery"

All I know for sure is that if
G_d has a FaceBook page I want to be a Friend

sometimes I take It too far
sometimes I don't take it atall

I though I heard a big bang today
coming from the direction of Nagasaki
I saw a big light in the sky
sunrise always takes me by surprise
