Anybody know a good agent and/or publisher?

I finished my first book - epic fantasy - a few months ago, have gone through editing, re-editing, and editing again, have gotten feedback from a handful of others and have queried agents with no response. It is the first in what I hope to write as a series (yes, I have absolutely started the second book) and I really would love to see it in print. I have been saving the self-publishing route because of my own financial constraints and am putting out feelers in every possible direction first.

Incidentally, I also have two other projects going - one a paranormal romance that I just started querying on and the other a children's book. If anybody has any suggestions my ears are wide open! THANKS!

I have the same question as I have a book in the works. In Canada, there are 2 publishers that I think I may have a chance with, Anansi, and Carriage House Press. I am also giving strong consideration to self publishing.

You may find this link interesting, http://www.litkicks.com/AnnouncingLKKindle, as the author, Levi Asher (who many of us know around these parts), has now used and is plugged into with 5 books out on this method of publishing. (btw: Levi also has some other relevant articles in the same area as this article is)

Yes, e-books are not bound and printed volumes that most readers still dream of seeing their name as the writer of such a book, but these new times are quickly taking in new ways of disseminating the written word.

Good luck.
