"Why don't we choose peace."

"Well you know we all want to save the world" but:
We just gotta be us and
"We got a lot on our minds"
Nietzsche died for our sins
Camus gives me hope
And so I keep on
May the farce be with us
Some say the 20th century was the Nietzschean century
I see innocent babes born into the 21st century and I wish them courage.
I hope this to be Camus' century

there can be no peace
if there is no courage

People are blind to Peace
believing it to be a lullaby
only to dream about.

A drop of dew falls and vanishes
like my life
I want to live in my dream world
that is why I sleep every chance I get
to escape from this buzzard eye view of vanity
I only stay awake so I can sleep
but sooner or later I will sleep the big sleep
courage r not me
I am meeker than meek
I was born to follow my dreams
even the nightmares
so I don't fear it as much as I used to
before I stumbled on the way
night mare by jimboloco
jimboloco chose peace
I guess I have too

All our hearts ache for peace--haven't seen much of it during our lifetimes...
Just a ceasing of hostility would be welcome in some locales...

A ceasing of hostilities is peace.
to me.
My expectations for peace are not what they used to be
These days I am just grateful when the killing stops for awhile.
Can there be a bad peace?
Yeah 1918
I think I will call this a poem and title it
1918
The year the English Army won the war
Your peace dividend is in the mail.
Boo Yah!

i read the news today, oh boy . . .
war will exist until we the people decide it's time has finally passed. war can't exist if we decide not to participate in it.

war can't exist if we decide not to participate in it.
That is a pretty thought but I find not much comfort in it.
I pledge not to participate in war. For what it is worth.
But I doubt if I will be missed. The wars will go one without me.
Sorry, is my cynicism showing

seeds of disagreement are varied
producing many attitudes
some encourage understanding
while others inflame decisiveness
and others find peace within

I am not disagreeing Cecil,
I may not understand the poem*
Brooklyn once asked if we really want peace.
Yes I want peace but I don't expect in this world during my lifetime.
I want to go to St Petersburg, Jack Kerouac said it is a good place to die.
The best I can do is create a little bubble of peace where I am.

the demon princes of the east have spoken for Syria
and the blood flows
war deals
peace deals
i can't tell the difference these days
ya take a dog for a walk
and the animal will leave shit behind him
better that than to have it
piling up in your house
can you hear me, America?
the sun don't mean nothing
to people with
a lot on their minds

that's the way it seems to me too
one of the blessings of longevity that Martin Luther Kind jr spoke of, but some men seem to come to it in their youth, and that is mitzvah, a blessing I think the old folks call it.
for some reseason of I thinking about something a lesbian here said about old men.
so it goes
give and take
the war between the sexes is one I can get behind.
seems so much of the strife in the world would be reduced if women had more say in the decisions governments make. Well maybe most women don't want to rock the boat.

I doubt that. Feminism or what ever it is called is the only revolution I can get behind, if we don't all blow ourselves up, or if an asteroid hits us well, you know Einstein could be wrong. Maybe his G d does shoot craps with the universe. Yes I am a post-proto-feminist.
