have been mulling over the idea that Charles Manson and Bin Laden are parallel characters.

They are both characterized as evil masterminds of terrible crimes.

Yet neither of them was at the scene of these crimes.

Therefore their 'crimes' were ideological. It was their alleged influence over the actual agents of the crime that makes them culpable.

Discuss......
