Most people in the New Jersey & New York area have started repairs; however, last I heard, at the beginning of this week, 30,000 people were still without power from the storm.
It has been nearly six weeks since the storms hit...a hard time for some folks. :(

Our federal government disaster coffers are nearly out of money, because they have been overwhelmed by so many people in need. People have been giving to the Red Cross
& various church relief organizations, such as UMCOR & the Salvation Army, to help
with local needs. The snow & freezing rain, which came soon afterwards, did not help the situation. It was called a "Frankenstorm"... :(

Death, disease, & disasters visit the good & evil alike.
The globe is warming & the climate is changing. We may as well be prepared for it.

We have FEMA to help with emergencies & sometimes one has to go
over the budget during disasters such as Sandy & the "Frankenstorm"...
Even Norfolk, VA was effected by the storm.

Artguy, I understand that parts of Canada also were effected by the storm.
How did you fare up in those parts?

Everyone he knows was OK, I'm pretty sure, from what I read on FB. Hopefully he'll come back and fill us in. I read a post there where he showed photos of the boardwalk and devastation of a carnival area which was a special place to him, reading that this was his home town in New Jersey and it was heartbreaking to him. But I'm pretty sure his friends and family are OK.

Ronnie.... fill us in, please, when you see this, OK?
