if violence on television or at the movies does not translate into social norms or behaviour

then why is so much money spent on advertising

...

if violence on the tv or at the movies doesn't model social behaviour

then why does advertising spend so much money on modelling the consumer

...

so it's either money wasted

or it's money well spent

to buy a product

that makes you feel that life is worth living

...

don't you just love the irony

...

violence makes life worth living ?

logical deduction error

violence itself, has been handed down through almost every culture, virtually taught
to each generation, from pre-school ages and up.

village to village, nation to nation, (it) is our history, and it is our future.

I grew up watching the typical cartoons, where violence seemed to be the only lesson.
horror movies... only one lesson.

the majority of video games... one lesson only... violence.

promoting violence to make a buck is even worse.

genocide, wars, protesters and police, children killing children...

it, is ingrained in young minds, reinforced even, as one ages.

and now, it is a bit too late to turn back... it is normal.

any natural being would recognize the uselessness of violence.

it is very sad, but we are deep into the condition, and it doesn't look
like there will be and reversal of the use of violence for centuries to come.

to me, violence makes life... not worth living.
