Cancel my subscription to the Resurrection
Send my credentials to the House of Detention
I got some friends inside

The face in the mirror won't stop
The girl in the window won't drop
A feast of friends
"Alive!" she cried
Waitin' for me
Outside!

Before I sink
Into the big sleep
I want to hear
I want to hear
The scream of the butterfly
- Jim Morrison

@Doreen fwi

inspiration comes from the darnedest places
the movie was out there before the song
they say the movie was where he got the line for the poem/song

"Like my Dad I'd roamed the land and Mom could never understand
How Lucifer could bring a man to the Punkin Center Barn Dance
Well times are changin' poets say since mom and dad both passed away
But some things in this life will never change
The poets write of things to come the earth will melt into the sun
And you and I will be the ones at the Punkin Center Barn Dance"

One of the most profound phenomenon in Buddhism is prajnaparamita...roughly translated it means to get to the other side...to enlightenment... I have the prajnaparamita mantra tattooed on my left arm...and use it often in my meditations..it indeed gives the mind the experience of emptiness rising...so keep your mojo risin...
my credentials to the house of detention was 2 days of confinement in Gallop New Mexico...1978

What butterfly? Who's a butterfly? It's something else? Stands for something else? Who could that be? Or is it a who or maybe the ultimate what? Pick me! Pick me! I love being destroyed by sex! The wind has turned to come out of the north - maybe a butterfly lives there? My mojo is continually rising to await destruction by sex. Other side? This IS the other side. Or is it a butterfly? Who's screaming again? Doreen - my creds are solid & completely see-thru - and await with much eagerness their annihilation by sex. Who the hell is Gallup New Mexico anyways?

Is he lining up to be destroyed by sex too? He better keep an eye on that butterfly because I heard once that the butterfly had sex with an album cover then went to Paris to die in a bathtub.

I have some respect for that - at least he was skin-deep clean when he took that first mouthful of dust.

yep sex and death the only two things that make life worth living.

speaking of bugs, does anybody know what the scream of the gnat sounds like?

mousey one does

the gnat, splat, gone

I used to feel bad about all those butterflies I used to collect on the grill of my truck
