this morning i'm going to put in a couple of hours at the democratic headquarters office that opened up in our little town a few days ago.
I have my Kerry Edwards sign up in the yard too.
I've never gotten this involved before.
But it's time, don't you agree?
Let's all get out there and work on getting
VOTES FOR KERRY!
Peace
Hest
Just to let you know....

To answer your question, Hest:
Romance in my life is stable. 20 years married after two former foul ball marriages and this one is great.
I wouldn't have believed the institution could work, and it hasn't exactly. But Mary and I have worked wonderfully.
I voted for Al Gore and had a heart attack on November 7th, 2000. In the hospital for six days after a "roto-rooter" heart operation, I got hammered by 24 hours of equivocation and vexation over the "non-election."
I must confess I have about as much enthusiasm for Kerry as I had for Gore. But I shall vote for Kerry, and hope for no heart attack this time around.
Whatever happened to Eugene McCarthy, the would-be poet President and friend of Robert Lowell?
