There's no issue, judih. Mark and I were just reminiscing about when the site was more active. If you look at the Jams, the earlier ones were the most active ones. This site used to have many more people participating than it does now. I like a lot of activity. A small amount of activity is good, too, of course. And yeah, we do have members who still jam.

Advertising on FB is futile. I've done it many times. Two or three of my FB friends have joined but not participated. I doubt that will change. Can't afford google ads or anything. Yeah, we can do a fall jam.

I liked the name "Guerilla". The person who wrote that about my writing is not a spontaneous writer. That's how he views spontaneous writers and I think it's cool.

Let's chat nice and fluid, do it
until the dawn comes up after a hard day
before another hard day falls onto our heads,
no dread of whatever may happen in this jam cabin,
a permanent resort of sorts where the sounds of
nature purport to have reverie here but I don't know
if that's factual or just a feeling in my gut...
'cause I'm just a word slut.
Or a nut. Or a word nut. But don't let that abut
against your opinion or anything because if people
don't like my printed word, i may be brave and
actually sing off key.
That's just me.
Totally.
Irreverently.
Me.
So what?
I scream it from my gut.
I'm a word player, a sayer of whatever i want.

And so with this, I say, let's not miss or sway
our opinions in any way but let's just DANCE!
Words are just words but they mean maybe more
if you give them half a chance.

(thanks, Wireman.. enjoyed it too!)

Let's distribute some tissues
to get the mucus about issues, use
them, confuse them, take the diadem
to another level, why not? I got snot.
It's what is and what it'snot!

hah! Gotta love the Wireman, fry man,
dire man as he is or can be, walk on forward
to make a melody and kiss the Judih!, the true beauty,
the remedy of all we've got! That girl's got my what
and wherever for all in the seat of her Soul Spot!

Then we got mingo, doin' a little lingo with his
everready voice and we've also got the choice
of listenen' to MnAZ's razmatazz and Arcadia's tradin'
of one word with another, and Whoisme! we got her to hear,
a clear light shini' in the way today and then we got

Guerillas!
meetin' the fall, y'all, so let's get still
and this is the call to do it do it do it again!
Do it do it, it'll never end!

We are all "Time guerrillas". We use our time creatively & play the pipes. Perhaps, the
world net will note what we are saying here. We do our best to connect...

At the moment, I can't help but ruminate on the death of Robin Williams. :(
I posted an elegy I wrote about him on "Chat Spot" , page 18, & my own
artlog, "Flying Horse Cafe", as well as on "Please Write a Poem Today" on Litkicks, old thread.

Several of our members are getting up in the years & having health problems. Some of them
have died recently. I believe that the universe talks back. So may the Force be with you. :) 8)

A discussion jam seems like a good thing. I was hoping "Chat Spot" could also fill that need. 8)
If you're out there, write back as you may! Have a good day!

A poetry jam is a good thing, too. Yes, it's about that time. "Summers almost gone..."

Arcadia, Thanks for answering back. What I am trying to say is that it is nice to get
discussion from members here & hopefully be recognized elsewhere. Some folks don't
have a desire to become notable. That's an individual choice.

Another thing. We used to have more interaction on this site. We kind of felt like we
knew each other personally. But, with more than a thousand members, that personal
connection is not as probable. At least we are more like a small town than like a big city.

Time for a group "brainstorm" before any snowstorms... :)
We sometimes become noted just for being ourselves.
Just a little "verbal vomit" just because:

"The world is too much with us..." :)

We've had over 1000 members for many years. But 1000 members have never posted. Half of the members on the member list don't even have ONE post.

At the most, I can count the people who regularly post on 2 hands. There are 10 or less of us. That's it.

If that's not few enough to make personal connections, I don't know what is.

This is nowhere near even the size of a small town. This site's active membership is more like 5 or 6 people in a very tiny neighborhood.
