Hi, I'm back!

Post by Doreen Peri » June 27th, 2015, 1:43 pm

Computer died, had to buy a new one. The Mac Geniuses were able to recover 22 years of work and migrate it to my new machine. It's a miracle! I've been offline for 2 weeks or something like that.

Thank you, judih, for zapping the bots while I was gone. I really appreciate it.

Hope you all have been writing and having fun!

Thanks, Mark!

Work adds up. Started on my first Mac in 1992.... started my business in 1993, 22 years ago. Every time I bought a new Mac, I moved all my work from the old computer to the new computer so there's 22 years of work (graphics, photography, other design work), plus my personal projects..... It all fits because the hard drives get bigger and bigger. This new machine (a macbook pro), has 500 gigs of space on it. That's enormous! I could work another 22 years and still have storage space to spare. :) ... It wasn't cheap, though. Macs aren't cheap as you know.

Thanks... still need to replace my page layout app 'cause it won't run on this machine and I can't open any of my old files but otherwise, yes, I'm back in business.

Thanks, Judih.... definitely a relief ... frustrating not to be able to open my page layouts... hundreds of newsletters, flyers, brochures, and way more. I use old designs i've done as templates .... Now I can't do ANY page layout but I'll get it resolved eventually. I want to use the layout I did for Mark Nazernus' book as a template for another book.

Where is everybody? This place is slowwwww!
