"Darlin don't you go and cut your hair"

Post by izeveryboyin » March 31st, 2005, 2:48 pm

Tired of hair. Gave it a color rinse a week ago that did not comeo ut the way it was supposed to, and now must re-rinse before two weeks pass or risk damaging hair, but as have no money to buy more rinse, will probably not have momeny to do it. Anwya, purpose of thread to say,"I'm cutting my hair....short. What do you think?"

LROD you my dear should NEVER cut your hair, I'd be horrified at the sight of you without your flowing locks. *fabio, hippie style*. But as for me, I'm tired of the upkeep and will probably chop it off in to a very short do, not past my ears. I'll post before and after pictures when I do.

You'd look really cute with short hair, miss ize.

It would make your big brown ize shine!

I actually think REAL short, like maybe a couple inches long all the way around... would be a good idea for you, but heck, I'm no beautician.

'Course, I've always been a fan of the afro, too... I'd do myself one if I could.

I'm with mousey! Let's see photos, K?

I dig short hair, but short hair on me makes me look like liza minelli and I'd rather hang from a meathook than look like her. So I keep my hair long.
I bet you'd look great with short hair Iz. I'll be looking forward to those before and afters. You a good looker so either way probably looks fantastic on you. Lucky!

I dye my hair too when I can afford it, (sometimes it gets pretty darn gray!), to cover the gray. But anymore I'm real tempted to just let it get all gray..or white...I can't tell if it's white or gray!

What's a girl to do? Shall I just go gray/white at this point? I mean, hell, i'll be 52 next month...I'm old enough for sure.
Gray hair stories and or advice anyone?

thanks d and hest!!! I'm going to do it! the tow of you have greatly reassured me. I'm going to do it soon so that I don't chicken out. I'm going to get it cut really short like you said D, that's what I was talking about. As for you Hest, let it go gray. I think you'd look really beautiful... don't hide the beauty of age and time... I'd kill to have been around in the times when you were. And maybe even for a few well-earned gray hairs. but I'll shut up now, b/c u'll all jump down my throats and be angry b/c I don't have any yet. *wink*

Did someone say hair.....

"Let it fly in the breeze and get caught in the trees, give a home to the fleas in my hair
A home for the fleas, yeah, a hive for the buzzin' bees,
a nest for the birds, there ain't no words for the beauty, the splendor, the wonder of my
Hair"(Yes I am singin' here)

Anyway....

Izy, I glare at your pristine grayless tresses... 8)

All kidding aside you will look adorably cute whatever you decide to do. Just remember, you promised pictures.

As for my graying tresses, Hes, they shall stay as they are, I shall slip naturally into gray mode. I have never dyed my hair, never will.... unless I am at some point incredibly overwhelmed by vanity, we shall see.

My plan is to age as wonderfully gracefully as Katharine Hepburn....now that was a classy old broad.
