Okay, I'm shutting it down again for awhile.

Go ahead. Talk about it.

I started watching the "News" recently. That was a mistake. The "News" just makes me angry.

I hear you. Makes me furious and causes anxiety. I should follow your lead and stop watching it.

Toxic. Just too toxic. And extremely noisy.

Unfortunately, I can't just turn off ALL of "the News." Like all of those homeless folks camping everywhere I go in my city. It WAS "the News" ... People all over this great land got to look in on their plight a few weeks ago. My home town. I don't recognize the place, with its tents and trash piles multiplying, in green belt areas, beneath bridges and even zillion-dollar townhomes. It's a disgrace really. Failure. LA is going through the same thing. Not sure about SF. Keep the faith? Of course. Easier said than done though...

shutting down never stops problems... but it does provide an element of retreat which can be satisfying.

there ain't no break
I have heard that it is going by the book

the hipsters tell me nobody is innocent
not even the children
ain't that a shame

we are doomed but
we got to keep on keeping on
keep on propagating our species till we are up to our asses in people
hipsters tell me "pretty girls make graves"
I wonder what men make?

not to worry
mother nature will solve all our problems

a balance will be restored
after the next great die off
we will get back to the garden

please don't mind me I am just a pollyanna cowboy optimist
