"Girls In Tight Dresses Who Drag W/Mustaches"

The "L" Word. In January of 2004, I happened upon it after being lured in by SHO’s seductively witty commercials. “Watch the ‘L’ Word” “What is the “L” Word” “What’s your ‘L’ Word” etc. After the every first enthralling pilot episode, where Jenny (Mia Kirshner) moves in with her boyfriend Tim (Eric Mabius), she realizes that she, in the heart of West Hollywood, is surrounded by lesbians. There are the next door neighbors Bette and Tina, brilliantly portrayed by Jennifer Beals and Laurel Holloman, who have been together for 7 years and are trying to start a family. Then there is Shane, an androgynous loner who sleeps around with the hottest chicks West Hollywood has to offer. The timid, yet quirky Alice (Leisha Hailey) brings a great comedy and joy to the ensemble, with her slight neurosis, and her apparent obsession with best friend Dana (Erin Daniels) which becomes more obvious in the 2nd season (currently running) where the two end up together after Dana releases herself from a pointless engagement with an obsessive compulsive PR. And then of course there is Marina (Karina Lombard) who is soon to become the object of Jenny’s affection and eventually, the cause of both Tim and Jenny’s heartache. To spice things up a bit, veteran actress Pam Grier came onboard the set as Bette’s older half sister “Kit” who, after defeating alcoholism tries to reestablish her life and bond more with her “baby sis” In the second season, she does this well, having acquired ownership of the popular café “The Planet” from Marina after she left back home to Italy.
Now why did I spend ALL that time explaining this plot to you? Because I’m addicted to it and there’s only 3 episodes left to this season. Now I’m miserably awaiting the final episode, knowing in my heart that they’ll be another 12 +plus weeks after that to wait for new shows. Does anyone have any advice on how to recover from acute L Word Addiction? I’ve got a severe case and no one can fuckin’ cure me. By the way… are there any other L Word junkies in the Studio?
