~ Folly of Fools ~
Those that commit acts of terror against the innocent are filled with fear themselves. Today"s terror stems from minds that are not freed from indoctrinations that no longer address the global world that is quickly becoming, not a dream, but the reality.
Those that cannot accept that we are one see others as enemies... enemies to religion, enemies to philosophies, enemies that somehow threaten hundreds of years of indoctrinations that have become rigid examples of truths that have sustained small groups of peoples before the world became smaller.
Yes, Virginia, there is a "god", but a god that doesn't condemn the innocent, a god that doesn't kill difference, a god that allows life to grow and evolve thru compassion. We can never see god but only be witness to the giving. And what we are given we have no choice but to share. Those that rule by the so called "holy books", foolishly thinking that they themselves fully understand the 'holy' words are but fools themselves. The ones that translate these words of ancients thru their own limitations, thru their own minds judgement conclude that the words themselves are the Truth, when it is the words that are simply the messengers.
Krishna, Buddha, Jesus, Mohammad, and many that have not been idolized thru books and memories have chosen to speak to humanity in order to better the human condition. People that have searched their own Self and have found liberation, that have experienced true freedom can only speak to those that haven't gained their own freedom must use words that relate thru the natural world - the world of plants, beasts and fish... analogies to the Truth of existence.
The problems begin when others take those same words as being beyond the human experience and assume those words to be Truth in and of themselves.
Truth is the great liberator. Truth gives freedom. Truth is the ultimate gift of existence. Truth is not in words. Truth is not in madness. Truth cannot be repressed, but only ignored.
When we ignore Truth in favor of belief we cheat not only ourselves but those that we come in contact with. Humanity is still living in darkness, in the shadows of choice that provide us with a false assurance that our ego life is all that we are. We pass on our fears and doubts to our children. We reinforce our ignorance with lies and fears of what we are behind all that we project.
We do not know our Self. The path we follow and have followed for centuries has led us to the current problems with politics and religions. We expect those leaders to have the Truth to lead us out of the deserts of our minds, drought-stricken, and hungry for Truths. Those leaders are us. We cannot put the responsibility of knowing Truth upon others. Those that do will end up lemmings following in what they perceive to be the Master of their fate.
How easy! We conclude that so-and-so is a leader, so that somehow absolves us of our responsibility to know ourself. If our leader is wrong... "well, it isn't my fault, it's their fault." What fools we are.
But our foolishness is because of our conditionings. We all have them. It's a worldwide phenomenon. A world of fools warring with each other, cheating and stealing from each other, all in an attempt to prove to our egos and our families and friends that we are doing the right thing. We act as islands lording over our realms not realizing that we are all connected, that we all are powered, energized by the same Light that illumines the universe.
Our humanity is at once fascinating to ourselves and stupid. We are but children no matter our age, and like children we amuse our egos on this planet as if it were a sandbox. We spoil the planet - chopping down trees, dirtying the waters, piling waste wherever we can't see it, not thinking that we will eventually have to live upon the garbage and waste. But we are limited in our growth like a child being taught by other children.
Should humanity continue to exist there will come a day when the perceptions of the gods we pray to and the knowledge that we have attained will be but stepping stones to the liberation of our egos from the constraints of our minds and we will at last be at one with Life illumined by the original Light within... no longer casting shadows of fear and doubt, Truth will glow from within setting us all free from restraints and bondage's that have prevented our gift of Love from opening upon the world.
