"I see it is always one in every crowd, you're suttle slam is not appreciated and if you did this at my site you'd be history. Most writers are looking for affirmation of their writing skills not some ignorant remark with no merit, speaks to your intelligence I assume and luckily I need no affirmation of my writing.

I don't know which of you will take this personally
but all I have to say is
it's hard to be a writer and a crybaby at the same time

I have to stop being a crybaby, sure, but I think it is more of abad temper than me cryiing about it--I don't know maybe it is the same thing--it is. what ever, it keeps me entertained.

"it keeps me entertained."
that's the most important thing, Geoff
entertain yourself first and then your audience.
One time somebody asked me why I did this or that eccentric act.
My only answer was:
"Because it amuses me."

Perhaps he took it as a slam when you referred to him as one of the characters in his story - a character which didn't have positive character traits.
Writers are sensitive, Geoff. You are sensitive. He's sensitive.
That's the way I read it, anyway.
I hope neither of you are pissed off.
It's too easy to read between the lines and take something someone said negatively and personally.
I do it myself sometimes and have to stop and re-read the text and see that it could be taken in several ways, then choose to take it in a positive ways.
The internet is tricky like this. All we have is text.

interesting reply, Doreen. I always wasn't to come across in my writings the same as I do in personal converse. The internet has helped me to work on this, alot. I am very sarcastic in a friendly way, I like to make people laugh at the same time they're trying to figure out if I just insulted them. The more Hunter S. I read, the more I want to perfect this craft, without completely copying the greats.
and Geoff, chill out brotha. It's a world created with words. Nothing can be taken personal if you've never met personally.

I have set my mind to reread every one of your posts little brother, there is a line from a song that comes to mind
"you can't be better then the worst you recognize"
one line of yours is coming to mind.
"you started this"
another line that I found peculiar was something that someone said to you.
"that is why nobody reads your posts"
yeah we got to keep our edge, and you enjoy seeing us old farts rant and rave.
I take everything personaly too. "If I had to please everybody I would rather drive a truck"
Good advice LR
I am spread pretty thin, I use to love that beat feeling after a hard run when I knew I had given it my best shot. But I on the edge of losing it. I don't think I can reread all your posts. Going to concentrate on just the fiction. be back later.
