My good friend Jimmy had a sure fire move that I have seen him successfully use at least four times. This move is all about set up and humor:

First you have to the intended hotty. Then you case the bar and find the drunkest, trashiest looking fucker in the place. Ask the barkeep to back up her next drink, but not to mention who it's from. When she recieves the drink, wait a few minutes and then walk over and say "Hey, I don't wanna alarm you, but that wierd guy over there sent you that drink and all he's been talking about is coming over here and hitting on you" wait for her reaction and then start laughing "no, I'm just joking....my name is Ronnie, I sent you the drink"

I have never used this. I am not one who goes to bars to meet women. I go to play pool and get sauced. I meet women elswhere.
But I have seen this work.
