Free speech and yet-unpercieved vibes.

What is this place like,... to you?
I wouldn't dream of running down Anyother Community but I've noticed something here at S8. The fact that people can say whatever they want to say seems to make the communication here particularly honest and open. Ever Dor (hope you don't mind me using you as an example, Dor) comes across as a completely different person here than she does at Another Community (which has strict limitations on perceptual output). I'm not completely sure yet, but I think I like the here-Dor much better that the there-Dor. You seem like you are much truer to yourself here, than there.
So I've noticed this. But I've also noticed that the free speech granted here can and no doubt does allow for nastiness, though that seems to be curbed somewhat.
So, as I'm new here, I want to ask: What is this place like, to you?
Do you find that free speech can lead to nastiness?
Do you percieve hostile vibes, or loving, as a byproduct of this free speech? Or both, no doubt, but feel free to elaborate.
As I am new, like I said, I'm trying to work out the vibe, so these following questions may seem strange, but they are in fact earnest:
Does this place, with it's free speech and mystical intent, tend to attract 'weirdos' moreso than a more moderated forum?
Do you feel that you are almost a completely different person at S8 than you might be in a more moderated forum?
Are you truer to yourself here, or there?
Or are you just you regardless of the environment in which you exist?
(That last is a trick question as anyone who says that the environment doesn't significantly shape them is not being honest as far as I'm concerned, but I could be wrong. Maybe I just haven't reached a state where I am unaffected by my environment [I must add here that some people, like Judih -- hope you don't mind me using you as an example, Judih -- seems like exactly the same person here and there] But then again, or perhaps as a result of 'where I am right now', I still contend that environment shapes us all).
