Is using the internet a way to isolate yourself or a way to reach out and touch the world?

Convoy, it is just a cb for me clay, just voices in the night, a line of trucks and cars from jersey docks to pacific shore. Drivers isolated in there wheel estate, just keeping in touch

BTW I have never heard the still smill voice as auditory, I never heard it the way you said you did when you were being set up. Never heard it like an actual voice speaking to me, I think it is so small and so still it is just silence. for me the words silently scrool across my forehead. But you got ears, a musician may hear it differently.

raindrops on my windshield
tear drops on my keyboard

I've thought of it that way too, truck. Like voices in the night on a lonely highway. CB radio was a precursor to the internet. Lonely cowboys sore in the saddle with miles to go looking for a joke or a gospel tune to help get them to Albekirk.

internet equal new perspectives
new perspectives not equal to isolation (most of the time)
new perspectives equal to more interesting isolation (sometimes)

Yes.
and No.
For some, maybe typing is talking.
For me, typing makes me want to talk to you.
The internet has proved a nomads friend.
The internet is a short stop on the way to meeting inspirations.

It's a way to speak out.
It's a way to speak one's mind in search of like minds.

It beats the hell out of tv.

Well, elRod - I can do both but not at the same time. It depends upon my mood shifts.

i think it depends on what you use it for. in someways it can be helpfull, i mean i remember i use to type on Litkicks all the time, as some of you may know. it was helpfull to a degree because at that time i felt like i had knowone to talk to and the people on those boards seemed to have a lot of intresting things to say, a lot of things i hadn't thought about before. but at the same time, there were people in the "real" world that were very similar and in one since i think maybe if i hadn't had Litkicks i would have met them sooner? i don't know...i think its really about balance. here, i am back writting on boards like i did three years ago, i don't know why, maybe its because i feel like i am missing something again...i don't know. this is Aly, i use to write on Litkicks as Kerouac&Dylan.

Cecil I can not isolate my self in a truck going down the higway with out stopping in between Sherman Tx and LA. I was in a sardine box of a truck for months at a time , stray dog aeverwhere, I awas a odd fish in an ocean of fish, i could stand in the middle of times square and be isolated, Clay do you mean isolated as in on top of a mountain, or alienated from the people you are in contact with locally? like being an urban hermit, never going out?

geez clay i forgot the orginal question
thank you cecil
