One year ago - The first post
One year ago on August 15, 2004, we opened these boards.
Here is a link to the very first post.
http://studioeight.tv/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2
Today, we have almost 25,000 posts.
That's over 2,000 posts per month.
Amazing.
The stats in the admin panel say we average approx 10 new topics per day and 63 posts per day.
And, in my opinion, the posts here are wonderfully rich. They are thoughtful, engaging, creative and interesting.
Studio Eight has become a solid community.
Thank you all for being here and sharing your artistic talents.

Well thank yous to you too dearie, for creating this wonderful, creative, intelligent and open community, for it is rare and wonderful, like none i've ever experienced before and frankly, it's part of my life, a part of my life I check in with everyday, I look forward to checking in here everyday.....it's meaningful, in a world that is rapidly becoming less and less so.
this is the real tribe here, at least for me....
And I heartily thank you.
You've no idea how much I thank you and Lrod both, for this site!
No foolin!
Happy one year Anniversary to all of us!
Many more to come!

Boy howdy.
Glorious you are one fine founding father, all whoopie and hanging like that, my goodness.
The best is yet to come.
Congrats to our fearless founders and all your starting crew.
Many happy returns.

"a studio eight story of transformation and healing" one of my surviving art works from the black-white design class I took at Wayne State in Detroit whilst driving my light purple cab at night in the city, 1979, with no clue about where I would go, not a clue.....dedicated to youall, doorway to new visions, testimony to survival, renewal, new seeds, new vibrant growth.

Happy First Anniversary Doreen...I know Clay was inspirational.
I consider this place home...it feels like home to me. Of course, I have been on a bit of vacation (a working vacation!) but I will come back as long as there is a 'Dor'.
You should be proud to have created such a creative community where all can gather and share.
Smacks to you Babe!
Love,
SooZ

Thank you all for your kind comments
doreen does most of the work here
I'm just her assistant. She changes the banners every day and maintains decorum. I just drink beer and try to contribute what I can.
That's why I took the default 'administrator' tag off of my signature.
I'm just another citizen here.
I try to add to the community like all of you other weirdos do, but just because I help pay for the bandwidth doesn't mean I own the place.
You guys own the place. I just sweep the floors.
You make it a community and I love you for it.
Keep the madness coming.
Further,
lrod
