at the exact moment I start to post this, my alarm clock starts to beep. Coincidence? Or a warning?. Don't do it.

She sits smoking a cigarette at a high window. The window is open and she blows the smoke out the window. Ignoring the hostile looks of her roommates who wish she would not smoke inside. But she is secure in knowledge that she can do it because the window is open the smoke goes outdoors. Then she walks by a canal where a cat is swimming for its life. No concern for the cat, just an interesting detail to write down. I wrote back and asked her if it was Schrodinger's Cat. I am so stoopid about drowning cats, I know that cats are probably dam strong swimmers and he probably hitched a ride on a passing gondola. but I would have had to stop and try to get him out. But it was raining and she had not brought her umbrella................

I want to live until I am 90, so I can see how she turns out when she hits her stride at fifty.
