none of the above for me either.

what fcould i stop pretending i am....damn i don't know. i sometimes pretend that i'm a caring person who gives her life for other people....but sometimes i am that person...i don't know i think the thing is peoples roles change, there are parts of me who are depending on who i'm with what i'm doing is a certain way and other times not...i don't know, i don't think i pretend to be a certain way a lot of the times.

It's good to see you, though! Haven't seen you for a while.

I'm glad you're enjoying your time away from the computer, K&D! I've been doing some of that myself. :) It wasn't your post I didn't understand, btw. It was izy's. I need to figure it out.

I can list the things I will stop pretending to be...

- smart
- even-tempered
- in shape
- calm
- not confused

But I don't understand how the list fits in with the poll. heh....

Thus the first one.... smart... See? I stopped pretending to be smart just like I said I would!

D, the poll relates to the post b/c I've been pretending to be so many things that I'm not at all sure who I am. Everyone wants us to put ourselves in a box... everyone wants us to pretend we've got ourselves figured out. The poll was just to get you thinking about. if you had to put yourself in a box, which one it be... but more importantly, why do we live in a world where we have to fit ourselves in a box? That's what was meant by it... does that make sense?

p.s there's a reason why I picked idiot for my answer.

Well, if there's a box to put myself in it's Hippie.
I've always had at least a foot in that box it seems, even when I was showering every day!
Because hippies are about peace, love and understanding.
And i am too, totally. I never stopped being about that. I don't want to stop either.

Patchouli still rules! It really does! I still wear it. My house smells like it. Mmmmmmm.

I'm a woman, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, cousin, aunt, mother-in-law, and friend. Theses are some of the 'titles' society has placed upon me with no pretense. One day the ashes of my body will be held in a box. For a short while, anyway.

Fairy tales can come true
it can happen to you
when you're
young at heart........

hey, young is an illusion. A mere mirage in the dusty desert.
we're all pretty got damned old really....in the scheme of things.....
eh?
