what about performing arts, like dance or drama/theatre or mime.

or clowning?

there is a music and film section and visual arts, and while i guess dance is visual that's not how it is always viewed since its also rhythmic, kinesthetic, audible, etc.

not that i wanna open up a studio or nuthin but i wonder if there are more physical artistic endeavors represented on this site or we are all, like me, lazy overintellectualized word, noise and image freaks as one expects from the internet.

yep, on the main site, which is yet to be launched, there will be a section for Theater which will showcase performing artists including dance companies.... to include clowning is a great idea and we may put something like that in the Humor section...

I'd love for the site to highlight as many of the arts as possible

if you go to http://studioeight.tv, i put up the front page which shows what the sections will be in the site once it's launched.... just roll your mouse over the letters

eventually, we will develop the boards so each of the sections of the site have their own forum

it's just starting to get so big right now ... we added the "studios" maybe temporarily, while i shop for the software which will work for the subdomains..... in other words, artists/writers/musicians, etc. will have their own subdomain eventually like artistname.studio.tv where they will be able to publish their own work and get feedback and comments interactively from the public

the Studio Eight site will be much larger than these boards

you'll see... hopefully... LOL!... i've designed and redesigned the freaking interface and navigation 4 times already because i'm picky like that but finally, i think i'm happy with it now and almost ready to launch the interface, the front pages for the sections, and the visual artists section... should be soon... within the next few days i hope

later, we'll add a theater forum to the boards for people to talk about the performing arts
