All the stories that never went away on NPR are all coming home to roost on network television. I walk around shaking my head in disbelief. Why the sudden feeding frenzy among mainstream media? I will probably think of an obvious answer after I post this.

Listening to NPR, (Fresh Air) A guy name Crystal? from THe Weekly Standard. He slips by all her questions then she asks what about the original reason for going to war. I think "weeeeee, she has him cornered now, no way he is going to dodge that" but I underestimate him. It was the United Nations fault, we were just acting in accord with resolution blah blah blah, that warned he about WMD's.

Big money. Here is a guy who spent over one hundred million dollars for the relief of man's estate. Those are 19th century dollars, what is that to day? A hundred billion? I heard the whole broadcast. Her historian/scholar of the Supreme Court and his comments on Alito were cogent.

Interestingly ( at least to me and perhaps to you . . .), both Terri Gross and Bill Kristol are Jewish.

Comments on this particular show of Terri's were not directed at the question of support for Israel, however. It might be interesting to hear her interview Kristol when Israel was the subject.

Kristol's denial runs deep. Alternate reality, like most of Bush's recent speeches. Even many neo-con sympathizers concede the dubious rationale for the war, but hang on to 'ends justify means'.

Time will tell if the Iraqi people end up with a better life. But many, if not most, neo-con 'saviors' are mean-spirited characters, prone to dishonesty and greed..... some major strikes to overcome.
