I would like to create an illustrated chapbook . I see it as being on heavily textured rag paper...any advice on how to build such a beast??

Are you going to handpaint the original and then go to a printing press to duplicate?

Are you thinking of silkscreening?

My thought is to hand paint the illustrations and then type the poetry, haiku, prose, then have it printed on to heavy hand made paper.....what about size??? I met a fellow at the retreat over the summer who makes his covers from stretched animal skins....found it intriguing....mostly road kill creatures...

If you want that natural rustic feel, how bout tree bark or fabric in that tibetan wrap style

size? A lot of chapbooks follow the standard page size folded in half, but you could write your own rules. Depends on what feels right in your hands.

When i used a full sized page, it was too big - i like smaller volumes.

I agree about the size, I'm thinking 8.5 x 11 cut in half then each half folded in half...
