Thanks all!

I use 1280 x 1024 but can go up to 2048 x 1536 but if I did that, I wouldn't be able to see a thing.

Reason I asked is, used to be a rule to design websites for 800 x 600 since that's what most people used but I heard that most people now use 1024 x 768 so this is just a survey to confirm that because I'm in process of designing a website.

Anybody else want to share their monitor resolution?

(Artguy.. if you could be more specific, that would be helpful... heh ;) .. if ya wanna, that is. If ya don't? no problem.)

yes, indeed the standard is changing. no serious designers use 800x600 anymore. in the same way, they rarely test on ie anymore. i read an article that said that if you're setting up a site for relatively savvy people, about 35% of your audience will be using the mozilla (firefox) engine, not ie. so it's back to stricter web standards, css, larger screens.

Arcadia ... try this:

at your desktop (main screen with all your icons)
right click anywhere on your background and it should give a menu
look for "graphic options"
and then "graphic properties"
and either click on that
or it will say 'high' or 'low' resolution and then show you the resolution you're using

My monitor's resolution is to try and flicker less in 2006 but it made that one last year. Lasted a day.
