i haven't studied him but someone, a prof, reasently told me that buy denying what currently exist nihlism became something that showed that they were options...if that makes any sence

sort of like Dadaism, you know they showed that what was being done was not art and they disagreed with it by making meaningless art. delibarate meaningless art was like a fire burning all the old and making room for new. there way of getting rid of rigidness...maybe nihlism and neitche were the same way?

but in truth i really don't know.

Nietzsche would have been a Zen Buddhist but he thought it was too nihlistic. Nietzsche wrote a history of the future. Just look at the United States of America. To get nietzsche you got to think 19th century values. Slavery and Christianity were perfectly compatible.

I got a pretty twisted take on Nietzsche. I Spent my first LSD trip reading him, "we knowers" the words crawling around on the page like black worms. It took a special effort. He wrote about the Jews, but he was not an anti-seimite, he talked of a priestly people full of resentment. If not for Nietzsche I would be a Jew for Jesus, singing the Israieli national anthem. Worse things to be I suppose. Nietzsche is about seeing what is on the end of your fork. Nietzsche is about the superman, the man who has power ofver his own self. Not power over others. Nietzsche stood outside Lou Salome's bedroom window and howled at the moon.

George W Bush is a Christian, I believe him, Nietzsche can go fuk himself.

They say Nietzsche had syphylis, spent the last years of his life catotonic. His sister built a cult around him. The Nazis picked up on it. A lot of similarities between Nietzsche and Buddhism I think. But I don't know jack shit about either.

Thank God for Nietzsche.

Never read Nietzsche, only some of Joe Campbell's commentary and interpretation of Nietzsche.... particularly the master morality and slave morality thing, which if I remember correctly, the Nazis distorted to justify and push their own bankrupt agenda. But what Nietzsche had in mind was essentially to be as true as possible to your own potentiality and passion, not the arbitrary constraints put on you by society. That's how JC read it, and I would agree.

Once again..... surmounting inner challenges versus waging outer war and destruction, symbolism versus literalism. We face this same problem with many readers of the Bible..... inner spiritual showdown versus the literal 'Armageddon', etc.....

Nietzsche only had to die once,
George Bush dies a thousand deaths.

George Bush such a noble man
A kind decent Christian.
Thank God for Nietzsche

Nietzsche does Haiku

Renounce Violence
Hamas to United States
You too/

Sharon had to vistit the Temple Mount
It was important it was symbolic
Was it calculated to please his base
Netanyahoo waits in the wings
and their motto is don't trade on me
Violence so righteous
When we bomb and kill innocents
we have the right because we da good guys
and Israel has a right to self defense
or is it vengence.
where will it stop?
Jesus walked on the water
and Charlie Daniels said it is true
the devil went down to Jeruselam
played his fiddle
and an eye for an eye
the blind lead the blind

For what it is worth

I have read The Birth of Tragedy and The Genealogy of Morals a few times, maybe three or four. Due to the weird state of mind I was in the first time I read it I think it is acid etched on my mind.. What an enemy I have in German. I do not trust translations from German to English as much as I used to. So many bad translations of Nietzsche and Freud. For some reason I have come to trust Walter Kaufmann a lot. I have read more of his books about Nietzsche than I have read books by Nietzsche himself. The Faith of A Heretic is the one that has had the most impact on my life.
Kaufmann such a strange case. Raised in Germany as a protestant he convertied to Judaism and later found out that all four of his grandparents were Jews who had converted to christianity.
He convinced me I got to walk that lonesome valley, I got to walk it by myself, no body else can walk it for me.
No doubt about it, the Jews are the chosen people. Chosen for what? Too Suffer?
How many millions dead since the end of world war two, how many million dead black babies, white babies, ethnic cleansing, genocide, never again? Bull shit, again and again, and again, and we are made in God's image. What would I do without God to blame?
Somehow the Nazis saw christianity as a Jewish plot to enslave the superman. Nietzsche warned of priestly resentment. Somehow the Nazis twisted that. And Heidegger did his part when he said Hi Hitler.
