October 12th Word Jam - let's talk about it!

Apologies for not being here for yesterdays Word Jam! I had to work and could barely break away to do anything else at all. Then, last night, I was finally finishing some fixes to the site pages which are up where there were problems and I couldn't get here.

I dropped the ball, too. The night before, I think it would have been a good idea to send out an invitation via email to members.

It went three pages, though, and that's GREAT and I read some of it and some really good stuff came out of it, so I'm happy for that!

What did you who participated think of it? Did you enjoy it? Was it ok for you with only a few participants? Would you have wanted more people there? Did you like the pace?

Any ideas for next time so more can show up or anything else?

I have a great idea about forming a "Roving Word Jam" group! Wanna hear about it? ;)

my regrets, as well.
My computer died Monday evening. I thought it was a dormant virus waiting to eat my files, but no! No virus, which was good because i'd bought the latest Norton and have been cleaning out corners and old hidden storage bins and generally being fanatic about using the update thing.
And no spyware, cause i'd downloaded a great tool that dumped the little parasites.

And no adware hidden threat, cause, ads too have been on my obliteration list.

No.
My computer died cause my hard disk ( a new one) withered into no go land.

So, today from school, i wanted to add something to the jam, but it was, alas, locked.

My comments: great range! i loved that each contributor let new ideas fall on the page from directions fresh and vibrant.

Would've loved to have been there.

Doreen? Roving Word Jam? Sounds unique?

please elaborate

Why heck yes Dor, I do want to hear about it!

Unfortunately (for me) this time of year is very difficult to get involved in any kind of jam. I don't need to tell you why and even now, my studio calls...

I am leaving again Thursday for another show.

so bye bye, I love you,
SooZ

I have come to the conclusion that a weekday is a bad time to do the jam .....let's face it we all have to earn our bread and if I was'nt a honcho on this construction gig i'd never even be able to think of joinin' in......man was I busy yesterday .....I have 50 men working for me now.....well I was thinkin along kinda the same lines as you doreen ....but i need to hear you elaborate more....
as for the jam ....i for one had a blast and stayed up till 11pm.....spent a lotta time beggin for laptops from the folks in the trailers and turned some of em on to a lil poetics which was cool.....I feel that some of my best spontaneity comes out of these jam situations and if there's a jam I'll be there for sure.....always wired mark.......special thanx to mnaz, Lucy, and Lrod for keepin the thing rollin'......

I'll try and make it to the next jam, though I'll be going off-line,
fairly soon.....

It´s better when there are more people but I liked it.
Yeah, yesterday was a landing-like day.

Arcadia

i couldn't be there due to unexpected appointments out of the house during the day.... and at night (european night time) i have simply been to busy with hacking things into my computer to meet some buzzing deadlines.

too bad.

hope to make it next time... for me, any time is as good or bad as any other - i don't have fixed 'working' and 'off' times, so whether i'll be able to join or not will always depend on the particular amount of work i'll have to get done on that particular day....
