anybody ever read this Ancient Greek play by Aristophanes? it's the first anti-war play, whose name literally means "disband the army".

here's the story: athens and sparta were at war for 30 years. the women became so sick of it, they banded together and made a firm decision: to withhold sex until peace was declared. not only that, but they dressed and acted as temptingly as possible, in sheer, see-thru, silky whispers of fabric, even painting their nipples to ensure utmost visibility. brazen colours were used, such as saffron and purple. hairstyles and makeup became more elaborate. but no sex. not until the war was ended.

anybody ever consider this option? what do you think of their decision?

this is one of my favorite Greek plays. High Comedy.

I'm sure the soldiers in Iraq aren't digging the poontang situation there. The least Bush could have done was invade a country like Vietnam or Thiland or Holland that has a decent sex industry.

I think that is a viable position. How did it work within the context of the play?
