There is an entertaining book from Zinni that I read some time ago Historia de la mafia en la Argentina. But there are oral testimonies from my family that are no so pintorescos. For example to wake up one morning an see a whole orange/tree little plantation cut forever in Catania. If I remember well Zinni talked at some point about mafia in its origins as a way of resistencia towards the state and the continent hegemony.
