Sometimes I feel...

Like I'm talking to myself
standing facing a wall
blathering on and on
Now, don't get me wrong
it's a clean wall
as walls go
slate gray
pristeen clean
harmless enough
but a wall
just the same
hard
solid
stone
stone
cold

At least you're talking to someone who listens well and cares about what you have to say.

Sometimes I feel like I have nothing to say and if I said it, why would even I want to listen?

when i talk to no one in particular,
i prefer to avoid walls

i like the great outdoors, preferably with no visible human faces but perhaps a leg or back of head - attached to a sleeping someone, someone who is unlikely to interrupt my verbiage.

Better to be a listener than a talker...a far more superior quality than incessant jibber jabber.

but doreen the wall does not care what the speaker says, tis only a sounding board, a wall of contention whose purpose is to bounce my stupidity back to me. The sound of my voice reverberates endlessly.

doreen peri...I hear ya. I hear ya. If you say it they will come, the ears shall pivot in your direction with an abatement of breath.

Speak on fair lass
if no one listens
may they kiss
both your and my
pretty little ass.

You are wise judih...avoid those walls indeed.

But you and I both know it's not a real wall. It's a perceived wall. And a wall of perception is a mighty wall.

I can talk endlessly to an empty room. The air is filled to the rafters with cheers and clapping and patting on backs. And all there agree.

Sometimes I feel...

It is a still warm humid morning just before sunrise and I feel as if I am in a bubble,of dead air. So I speak to you if only to vibrate a few air molecules.

A nice one mousey1,
this just a ramble,
don't mean nuttin

Well, so long as we feel, we ain't yet dead.

I hold hope that even after I'm dead I shall continue to feel, a different kind of feeling I suppose. I hate to give up feeling, it is mega satisfying, though the feeling bad I can do well without.

Here's to feeling good

to feeling loved

to feeling joy

to feeling heard

to just plain feeling.

Oh, and here's to seeing and hearing and smelling too. And touching...I think touching most of all.

Touched by the feeling. Is that a song? It should be.

Thanks for your responses all.
