Spontaneous Combustion...a somewhat misleading subject line

Is spontaneity a good thing?

Or should one always overthink everything?

pour over the pros and cons

before they say a word

Is hush better than instant blurt?

Calm better than storm of words?

I love the spontaneous

I think that it may be truth unchecked

but is it only a fool who has a quick tongue

who speaks the mind/heart before gauging the effect...affect

?

Spontaneous combustion...a fizzle of well meaning words...igniting charred remains.

I don't think enough of us are spontaneous...but then again I could be wrong...
you see what happens when you start to think...overthink?...
do you see the dilemma...the dilemmings...the squeezed lemons?

Please tell me what you think...spontaneously...or think about it if you must.

Sometimes spontaneity can be a good thing.

If I think too much before I speak, I will most likely decide not to speak at all.

Come to think of it, that might be a good idea.

;)

I don't believe it's a wise idea to speak everything you think.

Yes, there is much to be said for sensible silence

I think sometimes it's better to remain as quiet as a mouse

stealthying about

merely listening

always learning

I just have so many doubts

questiionings

and sometimes just by merely listening you can't gather all the answerings

I am still unsure as to whether one should or should not act spontaneously...should one rein in their verbal nastiness if it is who they are, if it is the truth of it?

While I realize that all acts of spontaneity would not be good or prudent...lets face it, acts of violence, cruelty to any other should never be acted upon, and is certainly not that of which I speak or refer. I merely mean spouting spontaneity verbally, and that instant acting upon an action without thought. Which I suppose is out of ones control anyway, if you act without thought you are not perhaps in control. Oh, I'm tying a noose of stupidity around my neck with this one.

Spontaneous behavior can get us into trouble...no doubt. I just wonder if it should always be avoided, if one should always count to ten, think it out, work it out, mull it over, ponder all the effects/affects and then sit back silent...because most times if we think it out as you say we will just stay silent. Is that good or bad, right or wrong, or just what it is? We are our own guardians of the world against our true selves.

Well, I of course often make no sense except to myself, or so I overthink.

Perhaps spontaneous should be held in check except with the trusted, favored few.

I reckon there are two kinds of spontaneous...the good kind and the bad kind...and the dilemma lies in discerning which is which.

Though true spontaneous by it's very nature is uncontrollable is it not?

If you're about to "spontaneously combust" ain't no way you can stop that, right?, may as well try to push a raindrop back into a cloud...about as effective.

I'll post this even though it's a bit spontaneous

better?

always?

the only truth is that being spontaneous is more spontaneous than otherwise. the only truth is that there are no rules.

being the spontaneous combustion engine that I am I must say that verbal nastiness can be quite funny.

now sticks and stones can break your bones
but obsidian words can cut you to the bone

I listen to the voice of a man
I hear faint whispers of a woman too

no body funnier than perezoso. a voice in search of authenticity.

I say discernment is the key. if it is from your heart, if the spirit moves you to speak I think you have to look where you are coming from.

Quakers a very peculiar people. I was always drawn to the silent meetings. This is all probably Quaker dogma or something, they say they don't have creed or dogma but what religion does not. I would like to see that movei Dogma one day.

Meanwhile mice are quiet, Except for minnie. she always was a feisty bitch

 :)
ain't enough emoticons mouse, my dangerous little friend, you know I suffer from testosterone poisoning. makes me such a schmuck sometimes. I will always think of Freud and Lou Salome when I think of you. "she is a woman with a dangerous mind"

or something like that

Sorry I missed you D

Yeah it is best not to speak your thoughts in anger. You got to listen to a very small voice of reason that can get lost in the the shouting blood.

Not the man I used to be, sometimes when I first started my life on the screen, I could hardly type my hands were shaking so bad.

Not the man I used to be, I am still a lump of coal but at least I have become anthracite, not a lump of Bituminous. With a little help from my friends I might be a diamond one day.

Firsty I been thinking about the push for marriage, and I can understand it. Reminds of how people wanted to get married during the war.

Still aint read it yet wd.
I got to post this before it crashes and burns dam slippery silicon documents.

stilltrucking - You are still trucking. You are a new man, all of the men and women you are. You, my friend, are the epitome of spontaneity, a diamond in the rough. Nothing wrong with that! As for me? My coal needs way more compression.

I am compressing the compassion
a rude awakening like a sur charge on an atm machine
I feel like a defrocked quaker, I carry in my heart a small room in a row house in nashville ten a sea. ten or 15 people sitting in silence on metal folding chairs. They will always be my Friends, that room my cathederal. I got asked to leave the meeting here in sanato, I talked too much. I was so depressed about the war. It all works to the good for me, so far. I just have to remember to zip my fly

Lemon tree very pretty and the lemon flower is sweet
But the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat.
-- "Lemon Tree" - Peter, Paul and Mary

mousey1's musings bring a smile to my face and a joy in my heart
I can not read, or reread what she's musing about this morning without smiling.

mousey's morning dilemma ...
spontaneously posted

and a smile leaps upon my face
and a joy lights up in my heart

~what's not to love about that!~

first thought maybe not best thought

I like "decompressing my compassion better."

and I forgot to put quotes around the ATM machine metaphor I owe that one to NM.
it is terrible how we steal each others lines*
Yes, please do remember to do that
I been thinking about changing my user name to Flash. :)

Reading mousey is like a chess game with someone you admire. Paraphrase of JP song
