1. "Band of Brothers" by Steven Ambrose. i'm 70 pages into this bitch and it kicks rectum.

2. implants. i never really cared one way or the other for them, but as it has been warm lately i'm seeing more and more of them. me likey! i kind of think of boobs are like spoilers on a car. they really don't do anything (aside from feeding babies) but they sure do look nice.

3. the new yahoo. better layout, weather, local events, etc. i also lilke that you can set it to "narrow" or "wide." i set it to wide because of my. . .

4. new widescreen monitor. my old monitor died so i bought a new lcd widescreen monitor. i have to say that i look at it and get wood. before you get all "i don't have any money to buy a flat screen monitor" let me tell you this. it's almost impossible to buy a crt monitor today. the lcd's have a better picture, take up less space, are more enviornmentally friendly and are cheaper. so there.

5. netflix. you haven't tried it? time to get into the 00's.

6. boobs in stretchy shirts. did i mention boobs yet? i think that one of the universal truths is that everyone likes boobs. male, female, hetero, homo, young, old -- we all like them. hell, what's not to like. cram them into stretchy shirts and you've got the equivalent of hot fudge on ice cream. fantabulous!

i suppose that boobs aren't really "materialistic" but what the hell.

try using netvibes. it's a better home page than yahoo.

or gmail. with a few extensions, you can get your gmail page to look like a home page, with personalized content, etc.

right now my favorite material object is my little pet monkey that i keep in my pocket. i put holes in the pocket so he can see out and let me know when the pretty girls walk by.

also, my other favorite thing is my new singlemalt's wife cam:

i would actually trade in my flahsy new monitor for the lovely jessica. i suppose my wife would be a little pissed off. and the kids would be a little bent out of shape for a while. but the good thing about kids is that they bounce back quickly.
