I've been looking at some of my bigger posts, the ones that have sparked the longest threads, and it kind of exhausts me. What are we all really even trying to say? What does it matter who proves a point better than someone else? What does it matter who proves a point at all? I can't remember who it was, but somebody posted a thread for the specific purpose of confronting stilltrucking on some things he said in his/her post about peace demonstrations. I was very interested in it at first, but about halfway through reading it, I thought to myself "is this really what we're worth as writers?" Not to say the author of the thread made poor points, or unintelligent ones, but if the main thing we're interested in is to argue some point against another person's point, then what is it all for? Writers are supposed to be storytellers... and yes, with that comes the task of imparting knowledge, and explaining things but there's a whole big world of people out there, and there are so many writers who contribute to this site that are just so brilliant and talented. Why not take what we are building here, all the argumentative, back and forth hooplah and give it to them, out there? Save it for someone who really needs a lecture, and stop bickering amongst ourselves over small facts and clarifications. Aren't your fingers just aching to do something more creative? I know mine are. I haven't written a poem in months, but I've gone back and forth with people on this site about the word nigger and Barack Obama and every other thing that I've brought up on this site and I grow tired of the test of wit, and fact. We all know that this is the internet. All it takes is the word "google" to make you seem smarter for the time being. Let's all just be creative, write stories and poems, and haiku and draw pictures of people in the moonlight like artists are supposed. We're so much prettier when we do.

I try my best not to pay attention to it. But sometimes I have to.

I wish to hell I'd get inspired to write something creative.

I can't do it any more.

I changed the way my brain functions by playing Scrabble every day. Now I'm an addict. It's good for my brain because it's a puzzle. It's both creative and challenging. Plus, it's poetry. And math.

But to do it, uses an entirely different part of my brain and now I'm brain dead to anything that isn't similar.

Maybe I'll start looking at poetry like it's a puzzle. A mathematical puzzle. Sure, why not? That might help.

I'm reading "Word Wars" and I'm almost finished with it. I don't know what I'm going to do when it's over. I'll have to start reading it again, I guess.

How's the nausea? Getting better? Hope so!

Let us know when ya feel the first little kick, OK? It's a kick, i tell ya! It truly is! You will be glowing with excitement!

I love to play with words, you have to allow for that sort of thing on a writing forum else why participate. The word fun has been buried up to it's neck in fundamentalism and sometimes I like to exhume the fun and run and jump with it into the nearest puddle or muddle... whichever comes first.

I hope Izzy doesn't mind

yes... sometimes we cannot help but pander to the idle of pleasures of bantering with someone else. orgasmic? sometimes. Depends on the argument. What has to be said, has to be said, bottom line. You all know how much I hate censorship. But I've read way more post where people are bickering than posts where people are using creative expression. There's no reason why we an't get back to poems and short sotries and silly ditties that take 5 minutes to think of and 15 minutes to write down. One can only hope, Mousey that my boobs are indeed soothing. Wait... is that what you were asking? D, the nausea is subsiding finally. I haven't felt a kick yet, but I'm hoping to feel one soon, otherwise the baby and I are going on a diet b/c my belly continues to get huge and I don't want him coming out fat and lazy. Actually, I'm starting to feel like a normal person... despite the fact that I am a living feed bag for another human being. Scrabble is awesome. No one ever wants to play it with me b/c they think its boring. Whenever they say that I tell them they smell like goat's butt. Sadly, it does not intimidate them into giving in and playing a game of Scrabble with me. I'm reading so many books right now it's ridiculous. But I have no idea what I'm gaining from any of them. Maybe I'll start over, or read them backwards.
