Studio8 - Uniting the Arts

As many of you may know, we are about to take a leap forward here at Studio Eight. New software is being written for the site that will make it more visible and participatory. Things will remain the same here on the discussion forums, but there will be a rich new section as well.

I think that we have developed a vital little community here. Many of us have known each other through our work and writing and other expressions for several years. Many of us have met in person, though we are scattered over the world. Studio Eight is a real thing.

Most of us are refugees from other internet chain gangs. We owe much to Litkicks because that is where the core of our community first developed. I have observed many online communities and I think ours is one with enviable content and diversity and good citizenship. We should all be proud. Studio Eight is a fragile document of our respect for each other and our pursuit of craftsmanship and creativity.

The site is being designed so that only the members can post content but anyone will be able to comment on it.

The main thing is that you will be able to create the site as we go.

But yes, it's very exciting!

We are expanding on the original concept of Studio Eight where so far, all we have are these two sections

Software is currently being developed so that people will be able to log into that part of the site and upload images, make galleries, post poetry, stories, essays, whatever. It's going to be fabulous!

It will look much different and much nicer, too!

And it's about time! I've been planning on doing this for 4 years!

Exactly correct, Lightning Rod, that these boards are going nowhere and will remain the same.

What's happening is site development to expand on the entire site plan! Fun things in store!

I'll make a formal announcement once we're ready to launch. (Probably in a month or 2)
