only losers use guns (VA Tech discussion)

Post by Axanderdeath » April 16th, 2007, 5:45 pm

Those fuckers that can’t stand their lives! “So what go kill everyone… it’s their fault?” (?)—bullies! Suck it up bitches.

These school shootings are getting fucking stupid.

They always were.

I am Reading Crime and Punishment.

Deranged killers have no brains these days…

Which is sad.

What happened to lighting insense and listening to nirvana records and maybe drinking a bit? What is wrong with kids today?

--sad

--sad

Any way I am not making fun of these pathetic bastrads—they’d be pathetic if they just killed themselves, although it would be slightly better…

Grow up you fucking assholes

What pisses me off the most is these guys aren’t even KIDS!! They are in college!!!! What KIND OF MORONS????????????????

another creative complaint

"and nothing travels faster than the speed of light except bad news"

I been hearing a lot about it on the news, I had to turn my radio off because of the constant updates and special coverage. I'll catch up on the details later.

The shooter was identified as a non student
Chilling fact, the shootings took place two hours apart. In two different buildings he killed people in one building and then two hours later showed up in another building on campus and killed more people.

I was going to post something about a slow news day but I thought it sounded callous. I was thinking that it was a good day for some news to break about some sudden turn for the worse in Iraq, or maybe another corruption scandal.

Blacksburg Virginia, a beautiful college town,
last shooting a couple years ago when I was living in the shenandoah valley.

only losers use guns
maybe so geoff
I been thinking about writting a book called Why Good Things Happen to Bad People?

he was a loser
no doubt
he used a gun
that is a fact

so how does the logic thing work
does that make anyone who used a gun a loser.

say there was someone else they with a gun who took him out before he shot his second victim.

does that make the second shooter a loser too?

yes... it makes them losers

but most of them--I am in montreal--their was. last year. a shooting, it was a student at a college.

and I don't know trucking maybe it would make a difference--I think it's fucking stupid that people are talking about installing metal dectors at doors of schools--on a talk radio show in montreal some person called in bitching about bums on free university busses--like it is bums that ussally do this type of shit... but it is not... bums get a shit deal... In montreal at least... most of them have mental problems and have no fucking way of finding a gun and if they had and had the money would probally rather buy booze... no it was some spoiled little rich kid that thought the world owed him somthing!!!!

which it did--a better fucking brain--a better world --that what the world owes us all--it makes us all mad!

I think it is stupid to touch a gun ever--especialy when your mad...

what you think trucking?

Charles Whitman had a brain tumor.
This is about Brenda Spencer, a 16-year-old San Diego high school student who lived across from an elementary school. On Monday, January 29, 1979, she opened fire on the school with a rifle, killing 2 adults (including the principal) and injuring 9 kids before going back to her home. Police surrounded her home and waited for 7 hours until she gave herself up. In that time, she spoke with a reporter on the phone. When asked why she did it, she replied, "I just started shooting, that's it. I just did it for the fun of it. I just don't like Mondays. I just did it because it's a way to cheer the day up. Nobody likes Mondays."
Happy Monday.

I have been watching the coverage of the Virginia Tech killings. It's almost too much for me. As I recounted in this post on Snippets, I was in Austin they day that Whitman killed fourteen people. It was a terrible flashback.

I sat at this computer this morning writing a sermon I preached at noon--today is the day on the holy calendar to commemorate the Holocaust. No progress. I sat here across the room from my degree; I'm a product of Virginia's public universities. I never questioned my chances survival. My sister's down there now--but then again, it's a different univesity in Virginia. ...may as well be a different universe.

I went to Tech for the first time as a freshman. I rowed and there was a race. Our novice men's eight beat Tech, so we got their shirts. Then the lake got choppy; the women's boats capsized and sank. It was late winter in Bleaksburg, Virginia.

Bleak gray stone, swamped and flooded has got to be better than birght red bodies, dead and blooded.

They are losers.

I preached my sermon before I heard the news. No progress. None.

I can't deal with it all at once
and I dread the news analysis for the coming days

I don't know what is wrong with me
I know I care
But just because it happened close to home
I wonder what else is in the news today
How many dead in Iraq today
Darfur
Afghanistan

I know eventualy I will want to know what happened
I just don't want to keep up with the breaking news.

that is what I think geoff

I did not know you wrote sermons Joel
Do you think you might post one sometime?

I live about 80 miles from Tech, and sure, I had friends that went there (but this was 6-10 years ago). Usually when you think of these parts of Virginia, you think of mountains, and farm-land and serene. So I don't even know what to say. I want to say something. But I don't know. No excuse for what happened. Don't know why it happened. They will talk about it on the news for months. The media already swarming Virginia, touting "round the clock massacre coverage" They will try to "figure out" the gunman. I think o fthe students and their parents tonight. They need an envelope of peace to swarm over the campus. I don't even know what to say. Would gun-checks work despite someone being "crazy". And it could happen anywhere. Not going to watch the news for a few months. It will be on for a really long time. The images, the ponderings.
