"Cyber-addicts"

Post by mnaz » April 23rd, 2007, 4:26 am

"Cyber-addicts"... (good one, doreen)... I think I may be one.

"Hi, my name is Mark, and I'm a cyberaholic"...
And I know I'm not alone.

I think I should leave for awhile, take a break, sleep it off.
The first warm day of the year hit town, and I gotta get outta this cabin...
So if y'all'd do me a favor... smack me upside the head if I come back here and start arguin' or pontiffinin' endlessly or any such other related nonsense...

I gotta change my ways... seriously.

just a prisoner of the info highway
addicted to the grind
my drug of choice was always #2 diesel
Sitting blinded by the light
and the c*nabbinis
this is a close to the road as it gets for me
an illusion of motion
trick of the light
another set of headlights
being out on the road late at night
every once in a while
but my knight vision ain't what it used to be.

Yeh, I need to make some changes... negative energy is swamping the positive too often for me, and I can't have that... Some degree of cynicism may be warranted, and a safer bet than all-consuming anger, but cynicism, like its counterpart blind faith, can be its own "slippery slope"... I guess I need a more positive m.o.... more listen/less talk, more read/less write, more thought/less argue, more thanks/less semi-buzz rant=o=rama, more air/less keyboard, and maybe some better shoes... yeah, maybe shoes... I think it's time...

Yeh... been a lotta arguin' goin' on lately here... enough already...

Actually, though it can be a tricky test, the near blood boilin' arguin' sorta thing can be an opportunity to absorb other POVs and "flesh out" your own at the same time... as long as it isn't made too personal... I suppose in the right frame of mind, one could see it as a form of ongoing "life training", or some such thing...

I been thinking about that too
All I see is my own negativity to someone else's negaitivity

As if I am "fleshing out" my own consciousness
