greetings from Montreal

Post by YABYUM » August 30th, 2004, 7:45 pm

hello friends.......i found you.
Montreal is super cool. Im trying to learn french, but its going painfully slow. I went to an open mike at a local bar, it had the same vibe as the Bowery. I met some cool locals who said they liked my performance. Poets make such great liars. Im currently applying for a work visa, but Ive already found work painting some ladies house. Of course I didnt make it over the border without a serious 5 hour delay at the border. I had to pay the patrol gaurd 200 dollars for my entrance into Canada, he actually sent my bus on ahead without me. I was told that I was not allowed into Canada but then my girlfriend started crying and talking all kinds of french gibberish to the authorities, long story short......the bastards let me in. Im planning on staying a while. I really like it here. The weed is some of the best I have ever smoked and the weight is unfathomable for the inexpensive price. Ive only been here four days, so Im sure Ill have more to talk about at a later date. Just wanted to say.....Howdy.

hey Ronnie! Welcome!

wondered what happened to you... glad to hear it's working out for you up there in montreal

i can't believe you paid $200 to cross the border... that can't be legal... Strange. Why didn't they want to let you in to begin with? Montreal doesn't like wild and crazy poetpeople like you? ;)

I sent you an email about the Studio Eight site... I'll send it again to the email address you logged on here with.

Hope to see you back posting some of your stuff. Glad you found us!
