if y has the power of x, then y most likely will abuse it

better a few "cunts" then deleting posts because someone doesn't like "cunt"

no?

better to abuse power, then learn to honor it
than to never learn anything at all

x + y = y'z r

I must say adieu.
Take leave of the night,
My flight is leaving
in moments.

I await miracles
in handbaskets
delivered from
angel-dreams.

When I awake,
I will draw butterflies
for my front page, perhaps,
or throw my entire crap
of history out the freaking window,
because i can't keep track of bullshit
or complaints and I ain't about to
attempt to solve world problems
because I am not omniscient or
omnipresent for that matter

so whatever the fuck it is,
take it out back, ok?

I must say adieu.
Take leave of the night,
My flight is leaving
in moments.

I await miracles
in handbaskets
delivered from
angel-dreams.

Markski: I doubt you have ever read a real book of poetry in your life. You apparently don't know how to read or write: your language is simple, with juvenile slang, cheesy rhymes. Do you know what a metonym is? Unlikely.

Anytime you want to compare notes on say Yeats' The Tower or Shelley's Defense of Poetry lets do it, liar man

X this, hypocrite

I don't.

What's a metonym?

I never read Yeats or Shelley other than when I was forced to in HS.

But I do like Dr. Suess. A LOT!

What a clever guy he was! His political shit is like freaking fine stuff, too, and I also like Shel Silverstein. But that's just me.

You weren't talking to me, monsieur pere.

Sorry to interrupt. I was jammin' man. Sue me.

LOL!

OK, so I lied. I said I was leaving and I didn't go. I'm staying up too late. Oh wll. You know who I also like? Firesign Theater. They were too cool. Lots of poetry in there, too... "Georgie Tirebiter/ He's a spy and a girl igniter/ Porgie Firefighter/ He's just a student like you/ Like Me?'/ He's just a student like YOU!"

Hey kiddos and kiddies and Studio Eight jammernuts and all of you out there in bozoland... this time... i'm GOING! hasta lavista muthfuckas... checkyaout at the supermarket...

LOVE you all......

A metonym: when a part of something, or a particular related to the thing to be referred to, is used to represent something else, or a whole: "the White House recently said", representing the Presidency. It is perhaps a sort of metaphor , but of a certain type.

Shelley in high school? unlikely. Reading his stuff, even if it somewhat sappy or hysterical, is beneficial for the real writer. He was an influence on the beats as well, so they say.

Anyways I have ranted enough ( had a day off and am trying to quit drinking and lost my gal pals phone #).

Dr. Seuss is cool

I awake

Post by barry9393 » December 11th, 2004, 4:04 am

I awake early
waiting for a
Nepalese poet
that
should
arrive

and
find
that
many words
have
passed
since
I last
looked
here

he
is lost
again
look out
Israel
he
he
coming
to you
next

laden with
books
&
papers
hungry eyes
& ears
searching
for
the
next
poem
in
his
life
Have poems will travel

Top down
joyride,
scarf on,
gloves folded,
stars are glorious
tonight
darlin,
wind is howlin,
at a few wacky
clouds,
warmth of a
tropical storm
brought 60
to december today,
gone already,
gone already,
jam boogie
jam boogie,
floatin
down the minutes......
