The child was wise to recognize
That snowflakes on her tongue
Taste sweet like sugarcoated ice,
Enticed to be so young.

They build their igloos,
Men of snow with limbs of trees for arms
Oh, the pleasures, winter has
For lad and lass – the charms!

They huddle close to warm their toes
By fireside, they hovel.
While parents freeze their hands and knees
To find the buried shovel!

Arghhhhhhhhh!
Who's volunteering to dig this stuff
So we can get to the store?
YIKES! Make it stop! It's pretty but
Enough is enought! No more!

stilltrucking would know what to do
when snowmen are too cold to move
a plough for a friend

a gun from heaven
is shooting angel flakes
white as a virgin on canvass
the naked trees sketch
fractal designs on the
Chiaroscuro sky
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

Yes, I have been one acquainted with kelp
with morsels of cuttlefish and raw squid,
feasts that might cause the middle class to yelp;
my appetite is centered in the Id.

You must, dear, sample the spread Nipponese,
filets of tuna or crab Dungeness;
Hokasai maidens in distant green seas--
pleasured by supple lover-octopus....

speaking of seaweed leads to other emergency measures
time to move upstream
uptown
up a notch or two

global warming,
global freezing
ozone, hoedown

time to move up in life
yup wardly mobile
let's go where the air is thin
and the mind expands
