i love my man jerry
he paled beside
and he knew it and let it
twas janis' show
she of the eyes
seduce me

janis in her days
twas a glimpse
peering over the edge
but ducked back by the corner
peek-a-boo once more

doreen love

Post by judih » March 19th, 2005, 2:43 am

love happens in spring
love awakens with the first spring bird
a sudden realization
that love sings next door
and awaits that first cup of sugar

love nudges her sweet innocent fronds
unfurled into daylight
smiling so innocently (Look at me!)

love dangles her perfumed wrist
under the nose of winter
convincing snows to melt
(time waits for no one)

love flirts with her unsweatered shoulder
her soft silken neck
she paints an earlobe with queen anne's lace

and love tingles spring
vivid high potential
a kite unravelling her string

jerry and janis

Post by judih » March 19th, 2005, 2:46 am

i loved my man jerry
he of the wise accompaniment
the beat of understanding
the conductor of energies so fast to flow

i loved my woman janis
giving more than feasible
and giving it all over again
did she know then?

my heart ripped out and walked away
i gave it to her
a transplant for the taking

I have partaken of Love's feast,
complete with courses, first, the appetizer
tease, next, the soup to sip, warm, inviting,
afterward the salad, crisp, enticed with endives,
olives black like holes in hand-drawn eyes, later,
a main course delicate to partake, sauces drenched
to satiate a Queen, and I have gleened ideals from
corners of eyelashes while maids made their way to
serve, their aprons laced around their middle-belly,
svelte as sliced mahogany, sand-smoothed into
wood sculpture, seasoned with salt, peppered with
accented herbs, warmed-up by a blow of breath!

spice sea
bosphorus

and lustily plays a hand-carved lute
