The cucumber
yes, the cucumber my favorite vining plant
cool and crisp and prolific

and I think of bathing in vinegar
a fluid nearly as delightful as whisky
I could pickle myself
a sour mummy
that will be preserved
perfectly edible
for a thousand years

acetic vines
ramble
in my criminal mind
pickles
I want pickles
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

I have no recollections.
I have erased the slate.
I prefer to create
memories fictitiously
with deliberate perfection.
I do this religiously.

In the time it takes me to reply,
the subject has been changed.
Oh dear, oh well, oh me, oh my!
I feel a tad estranged.

we blink and the world is different
the beat goes on
and sunny and share
inventing new astrologies
captured in the stars like clockwork
orange is the color
is the color of my true love's hairs

would it be nice
to freeze the world on DVD?
pickled like a vinegar fog
or let the beat go on
the beat go on
sunny and share
to eternity
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

Life is like milk.
Often past your eyes.

milky eyed visions-come hither
late in the season of words
alien passages emerge in the finale
where have i been
where are you
i sit here in a dither
niether here nor there
but feeling your vibes everywhere
i'll keep them in my pocket
as i rocket off to the stars
read me, but don't play me backwards

what's a party without a token alien, eh?
sting stung a british spy
milky eyes?
excuse me, my love
your cheese is curdling

how droll
c'est drole, n'est-ce pas?
a random assembly of words
guaranteed by the constitution
to meet
and share
sunnily, or partly cloudy
(laser would help that condition)

excuse me, my dear
is that a cataract
or are you just overcome by whipped cream visions

how mad to walk the world
round the block
shitting where it may
while i hum and tap my cane amongst compost
searching for a mushroom
to blaze the way home

Aha! The Alien has arrived!
I thought I saw a sighting!
Let me in your craft, my dear!
Carry me off to the outer limits!
Teach me a new language.
Give me a tour of your cities.
Allow me to taste your chef's delights!
I am ready to fly and the night
is young! We have only just begun!

Tomorrow, Sir Lightning Rod
will perform "Funky Alien" in your honor.
Have me back by noon.
We will journey to Charm City,
and ironically meet with Ms. Bee Charmer
herself, with WIREMAN leading the way.

Every day
is an adventure.
I am an alien, too,
when it comes to Baltimore.
I don't know what I'll perform,
but I guarantee
Sowebo will have enough of me
once I am through!

Wish you all could be there, too!

Morning Edition

Sowebo indisposed
recovering from an overdose of ubiquitous doreen
like a mad energetic vortex
the small artist colony
was overcome
exhilerated and then deflated

estimates run up to 3 - 5
for total rehabilitation

take me to sowebo
bring me along
please
give me a chair
and a long tall perrier with a twist

let me be in sweet sowebo
that flavour of bawlmore
tickling from toe to nape
let my neck chill
in sowebo
take me there
