Hey~ I just notice it was locked! I thought it was going to be a 2 (or 3!) act play ... I was sitting there waiting ... (~lol~) [oh my...!]

It was good. Short, but good.

Now, it's time to take off the paint, drop the masks ... and head into a celebration.

Girl in a room

Girl in a room
no one can hear
Girl in a room
no one can see
Girl in a room
alone in the dark
Girl in a room
no one can hear
no one can see
alone in the dark

Girl in a room
no one will come
Girl in a room
no one can see
Girl in a room
no one can hear
Girl in a room
Blood on the sheet
blood on the floor
blood on the walls

Girl in a room
no one will come
Blood on the sheet
blood on the floor
blood on the walls

Girl in a room
no one will hear
Blood on the sheet
blood on the floor
blood on the walls

Girl in a room
no one will see
Blood on the sheet
blood on the floor
blood on the walls

Girl in a room

A wild haired woman dressed in a series of ruby red beads woven together, enters a darkened empty stage. She is wearing fringed shoes which she tends to trip over. She looks around puzzled at the silent empty stage.
Then she shrugs her shoulders and decides to make the best of it. She ties a scarf around her head, carries her purse like it's a pail, and comes up with a few lines.

"alas alas
oh what a world
what a world
it was,
before they moved it
to that other stage."

(meaningful pause. She looks afraid, wipes a tear from her eyes.)

"and now, in this
darkness,
the show must
go on,
and I must,
oh yes we must,
write the script
anew".....

(she drops down on her knees, humbled at such
a task to improvise...a funny sound comes out of her, a little scream mixed with a sigh, she gasps, attempts to speak from gut level)

"oh will there be
a prince?
and I a princess?
will there be
everlasting happiness?
forever afters,
keenly shouted,
from dusty rafters......."

(she's crouching now,
on her hands and knees)

"ach, there is mud
on my once
pink royal hands,
perhaps it is the ink,.....
the link to new plans,
with which the
brand new story
begins"...

(she's praying now, with a ridiculous fervor)
Her voice is shaking a little)

"bubble bubble,
toil and trouble,
a cast of pearls,
on the double,
bring me their lines
redrich from the heart
fools before swine,
in improvised parts"

(She waits in the silence, head down, eyes lowered. The curtain closes in a whir behind her. She is prepared to wait forever....)
