somewhere in the world
it's three o'clock
bells ring in fishes heads
while deep sea squid play hide 'n seek
with the international date line

If I waited to do
what I want to do
until I was finished doing
all I had to do, I'd never
do what I desire.

Some things are required.
Some abandoned, intended.

It's not the time allotted.
It's how you spend it.

couldn't wait
had to go see House of the Rising Sun
as the sun set over a sinking porch
deep amongst the gators
new blue jeans floating down by the bayou

couldn't wait
don't wait
catch my drift?

Time Started... to be sung TalkingHeads style as a round

Post by e-piph[lol] » September 16th, 2005, 2:59 pm

.

Remember...
Remember...
Remember...
Remember...

You sold it down
You sold it all away..
You thought you knew
The better way..
But it sold you down, it stole
Your heart away

Time started...
Counting down
Time started...
Counting down

Time for what?
Lookin' for a heart?
Keepin' busy?
Going crazy?

Time for what?
Lookin' for a life?
Find a face...
A certain poise and grace
Based on what?

A cultured con...

An elaborate trap...

And you can't find your way
Through the maze
'Cause you're it
And it makes you sick
So you don't turn your eyes
That way

Time started...
Time started...
Time started...
Time started...

Remember?
Remember?
Remember?
Remember?

Remember what?

I changed my life
I've got my friends
And who are you to say

That I forgot?

Been sold a con?

Stuck in a trap, and that
I can't find my way...

Time started... You sold it down
Time started... You lost your heart
Time started... You used to know
Time started... Just who you are

The time is now
The time is close at hand..
And all your expectations are like grains of sand
'Cause you sold your heart
It stole your heart away

Time started... The elaborate trap
Time started... Ticking down
Time started... You sold your heart away

Where is your heart?
Is it in your head?
Is it dead...
Or is it easily lead astray?

Led astray by what?

A warm embrace

A pretty face

And you can't find your way...
Through the maze
'Cause you're it
And it makes you sick
So you don't turn your
Eyes that way

Time started... Running out
Time started... Standing still
Time started... Folding in
Time started... Breaking down

Remember?
Remember?
Remember?
Remember?

Where do I start
To build a life?

Am I half dead?

Am I half crazy?

Where do I begin
To lose the face?
Break the mold?
Before I get too old

Fear's the killer
And time's the test
When there's nothing left
And you can't find your way

Through the maze

Because you're it

And it makes you sick
So you don't turn your
Eyes that way

Remember?
Remember?
Remember?
Remember?

How did I forget?
Forgot myself
We were all just kids
We were all just having fun.

Time rolled on.
We built our walls
Closed up our hearts, and now

We need to start

Through the maze

Emotional haze
And bitter rage
So we can turn our
eyes that way...

Time now... To walk away
Time now... To shift the gaze
Time now... I'm looking up
Time now... To not give up

Time now... To find yourself
Time now... Stop telling lies
Time now... To pay the price
Time now..........

Remember?

what's that sound that starts the race?
Oh yes, a gun.
You can be holding the gun
or swallowing the gun
or under the gun

or you can jump the gun

I have no time to wait for time

I'm not finished till I'm done.

I'm under the gun.

There was a time in time
when no one was aware of time
therefore there was no time.

good things come
to those that wait?
the spoils of them that hustle?
the grave reclaims the brain and brawn
the heart the flesh and muscle.

was that it?
was that all?
is there any more
for them that must be baited?
upon the grave we erect a stone

I had an epiphany about time
there is a chronic shortage
FEMA has no solution

life is only as long as life
and though life goes on
it is all too short

The government was late in its response
faltering like a hypocrite
but life goes on like time, survival happens.

jimmy died just yesterday
only 50 something
three killer tours in Vietnam
who knows how many lives
his presence, there, cut short

three crazy cancers,
some would say there is a master plan..
i would too
only it never was that some God has a reason for everything

OP just died yesterday
I mean it was ten years ago
still my history disappeared
he was the only one who knew

it wasn't cancer, just carelessness
a slight overdose
but that's just like being slightly pregnant
