let the words flow
with no control
I did not see that
That was how I felt too
now i err on the side of spirit
that is how I felt too

But you know I would walk away from here just because she asked me to or if you did, just tell me when it is safe to comeback
i'm dreaming of a blue Xmas
jess like the ones i always knew
before the advent of love
now i err on the side of spirit
the way to do is to be
until the wheel turns round agin
We might as well be from different planets, this christmas/orge/saturnalia/Potlach never meant nothing to me. But standing there with blood stains on my jockey shorts, it took on some new meaning back in 1974

Until the wheel turns around again
all we got is friendship

edited responce to clay

Sometimes I lose you in her light
Little Baby Born in Bethlehem
I wore this out last night maby fifteen plays, all night, over and over and about the tenth time in the whee morning hours the candle flame started to flicker

but what have you done for me lately
how the tunes coming?

Out and over, sigh of relief

I was enlightened by the words shared
the poetic brilliance that flared
from the minds of those Who comprehend
poetry is the light in the eyes of friends
sharing souls and complex views
who care about thoughts written true
to the hearts and minds of the poet.

And don't you know it
I got to go for the day
but it was fun sharing the words this way.

Thanks Doreen and LR for having me.

Jimboloco have a good time
I really did meet Jesus Christ on that bus. At least that is who he said he was, and I took him at his word. Jesus said he had to get to that hospital. I dam sure wanted to do everything I could do to to help him get there. I paid his fare. I think Selective Service knew what they were doing when they Certified me 4F.

I wish I knew more about Buddhist holidays. I got a feeling they make more sense than Christmas.
Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Let your heart be light
From now on, our troubles will be out of sight
just change it to winter solstice party and it would work for me.

ah sweet red vermouth
bourbon oh my
and wood carved walls
and ceilings on high
to see how the boss lives
and have a good cheer
my wife has a job for another year
"Yo, Saturnalia!"
have i sown seed this year?
do i merit celebratory oratory
hopefully so
at least i ain't been caught yet
all bets are off
i'll gamble on sleep
and dreams of ancients and Yule logs burning
and green holly with red berries
mother earth and blood love
of the goddess
and mistletoe gathered in the forest
by Druid preistesses
five days after the new moon
after the solstice
yes to dream of this
the underground stream
opens to the heavens
an old man lay dying
his face glowing a tear in his eye
Christmas eve 1989
three sips of soup
"that's enough"
the glow from the tree around the corner
suffused the scene
him in his crib
not the babe
an old man
with such a glow
a gift of the angels
a mystical peace.
an old waif
renewed my faith
in rosy glows
and Yuletide logs.

six a.m. sunday morn
10 minutes to sit
and then it's a moving sidewalk
into week

the light is about to self-restrain
light works best in a closet
darkness hangs out in crowds

some people bring a torch
a massive flame
fire detectors go insane

These people shed sunshine
and happiness and heat
these mini-suns hold court -
galaxies on location

If you meet a radiant soul
take off your gloves
heat knows no boundaries

judih and jimbo,
I'm sorry to break down into chat but I must say that your posts in this thread have been sterling and have made my day.

We are a rag-tag regiment. We scuffle but cover each other's backs. It's classic. It's love. Have I had too much rum? Who knows?

Is this poetry? Who knows?

And I must not forget Chollie (ibelive)
and tinkerjack (trucksiejokerdyke etc etc)
and the wired one

is this poetry? Who knows?
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

it doesn't flow yet
we do it hopefully so

i feel redeemed and renewed
five twenty five AM
tree is on fire
cats are out of th cradle
a little heat is on
twenty five miles to go
into west Tampa
the Latin quarter
feliz felicity
hola lola la ladrona
and so on
pretty skies
just a hint of dawn
across the water
against my own inertia
into a world of passion
and hope
trucksiejokerdyke

the metaphor of the mountain
a lonely feeling to run on virgin snow
going up a eleven thousand foot mountain
when the top of the mountain is shrouded in the clouds
I never made it
a thousand foot from the top I started to slide back down.
then it stopped slidding but I was blocking the road
so I got out to put some emergency triangles out because it was starting to get dark
A four wheel drive land rover with a full ski rack stopped and asked if I needed help
then a jeep loaded with ski's came by
everybody was on their way to a good time but me
I had no bussiness going up that mountain with my twenty tons of onions
it was my fear that made me do it
I was ashamed and tried to act brave
takes me a while to realize where I don't belong
I see it now jimboloco I am a truck
this is a beautiful place for four wheel drive vehicles

When a war stopped for a song.
I suppose my favorite christmas was during world war one, when the slaughter stopped and men sang silent night holy night to each other from the trenches.

solstice celebrations were usualy marked by human sacrifice.
They say he was born in the spring with the lambs for the slaughter.

Doreen, that was not a teary good bye. When I say here, I ment HERE.

I am wired weird doreen, just not that creative. My gifs or passion seems to be science, and mystery. Not poetry. All I can do about poetry is cry in my beer and quote Uncle Siggie from memory. "everywhere I go a Poet has been there first"

Going to try and stick to the non creative boards for my posts. Culture, etc.

Clay I thank you for the music, it made my night it made my day, I am going to loop it and make it my dream music when I am to tired, too wired, to sleep

this post edited after posting edit
oh wait, this string is posting the edits at the bottom of the page. I can't figure out why sometimes the software here does not do it all the time? Not a complaing? Just a mystery to me. Geoff worried about deletion, I tell him it was all my fawlt. I got one of those "stairway lines" for him, "What's up pussycat?" I consider myself to blame for the tempest in a tea pot. And confession is good for the soul. So if you and clay are ever

down in San Antone
Beg, steal or borrow two nickels or dime to call me on the phone
And I'll meet you at Alamo Mission, where we can say our prayers
The Holy Ghost and the Virgin Mother will heal us as we kneel there
In the moonlight, in the midnight, in the moonlight, midnight, moonlight

First Sister

There is a trashy country song about Christmas called "If We Make Through December" Those random karmic dice are interesting to me. I am still not sure what Uncle Albert meant when he said G-d does not shoot craps with the universe. I try to becareful about translations. How fluent was he in English? I will have to check out how that looks in his native tongue.
Baby sister near tears about money. Random karmic dice, a husbands brain tumor. But it has an upside. We are working together for the yankee dollar. See more of each other. I saw her and the bear holding hands yesterday.
i wish you a good holiday
