The 2nd Annual Spring Equinox Word Jam

inquiring minds wanna know
what's on the 8's mean?
sounds like a saying well suited
for a gr8 spring jam

looked it up but
couldn't find a definition.

aha!!

something simple that i missed.

I thought it was a common idiom
which I didn't know and so
I asked in case it could be used
as a studio eight slogan.

a tiny taste of spring
teases me, pleases my
senses, warm sun on my
face and yet a trace of
winter lingers.

after the snowfall
melts into the soil,
flowers will bloom.

The flowers will bloom
the dandelions will come
it makes me recall
that one time
when one lone dandelion seed
standing out from all the rest
one fluffy puffiness
floated over
in a bee line
coming to rest
upon my nose
It made me smile
and sneeze
and off he went in a huff
to find someone else
who would be more kind

Forgive me for this dark spring
I wrote this some time ago
And in couplets (ick) is what i bring
But i thought id give it a go

Spring

Biting words, stronger than their rejection
Sift through the air in constant suspension
The hard stares and the ghastly growls
Foundations shake, deep to the bowels
I never wanted to hear what came off your lips
Dead words contained like the bodies in crypts
What is the point when all that is said is left undone
Dying promises left at the wayside and dried emotion
Reconstitute me with a force giving life please
Refusal to react is killing while you are at ease
I hate your smuggness and your deactivated emotional power
I cant believe I lived with this for so long hour by hour by hour
Now that youre gone its my turn, its my song that I will sing
A birth of new growth pushes its way out, an emotional spring

volatile changes
of weather
and hearts

sky from sun to rain and back again
hearts from shine to pain and back again

sharp sudden winds of promptings
or protests

deep rains water and tears

strong weather patterns
and emotions
followed by soothing sun
and the soothing love making of forgiveness

gently licks of our skins
human
nature

Spring …

the intercourse

where the ever constant change
everyone at first embraces
transforms from the passion
becoming
reluctantly allowed

and then endured
before being able to embrace the laze of summer

spring begins in march
and march is marching along

late as spring
snow flakes fly
the optic went out
my time to play
but like spring
i am late
and the snow people
all melted away
with the snow.

Tender sprouts compelled from deep dark ground
Seeds of deliverance erupting life's hidden source
Warmed in sun and songbird
Every blade of grass rejoice
Contemplated breaths
A pleasure to be taken
Springing this named season of rebirth
The color of joy

birds harrod the coming sun
rejoicing in his warmth
tender blades
worship with bated breath
as diverse as the rainbow.

Hibernation continues.
bears don't know when
to come out of the cave.

Adam could never understand
his role in the garden.
He was fooled indirectly
by asp and feminine will.
Adam was an outcast,
his companion effected shrill
language, demanded her position,
a siren, unearthed by lonely need.
Adam was a pushover, his mate,
a con, ousted, though
the garden lives on,
overgrown with
weeds and
choke vines –
no chance of survival
for the ignorant.

To taste the fruit, his

leaving the Jam open for a while... anbody wanna pretend it's warm enough to be spring?

it's a slow jam
but it's strawberry and cherry
so spread it on thick and let it
melt me.

and when they escaped the garden,
she was of course to blame, the witch
with a twist of a lie in a poison apple,
what's his name buying a bushel, but
it was really the tease of a taste between
her eyes, thighs wide, her very core
which pleased him more than any
other and so he could not would not
be her brother other than incestuously

people blamed a snake in a tree
but i'm tellin' ya brotha, it wasn't his
fault either.

and morning

luckily they remembered
each other's names but nobody

fruit comes from seed

spring is the emergence
from a tomb
