Welcome to
The 2nd Annual Spring Equinox Word Jam

RIGHT HERE in THIS thread!

Read the Announcement about the Jam ... click here

Spring receives me, opened, petals
bare, fruitborn, receptive,
vigilant, determined.

I am early though spring is late.

Shower me with words and perhaps
we can urge its arrival!

You are like spring

you waft in

and this heart

sails free again

flying high

I cannot see the ground

and am

satisfied

Fools rush in

and there they stay

too happy to know the difference

Springtime jam

spread it thick

please

Spring

with its flurry of

hopeful wings

beat me

into a frenzy

of wishful

thinking

Spring has sprung

my marble's loose

it's rolling down the street

won't someone come play?

Too late

Too slow

my last marble

has gone and rolled away...

Winds whip a
32 degree chill factor.
Woke up to frost on
windowsills. I await
the warmth of sun.
I know winter is done
only by the calendar.
The equinox has passed
and yet the air is not fair.
It cannot forget the ice.

I want to hunt down the
weatherman and bury him
in snow because he isn't
very nice.

THE LAMBS A WAITIN'

The sun breaks beautiful on this spring day.
Dark clouds have blown away.
Young tender leaves break from cold ground.
I do believe spring has come around.

And I
come to studio 8 to say hi
to all my friends in the light.
May peace and love find you come this night.

Wired man on a beam
walkin' a straight line
to the sky while I
play code games with
digits, ones and zeros
on parade, gaze out of
the glass at squirrels
who think it's fall.

All in all, the seasons
change but right now
they seem rearranged

but I believe you are correct.
Spring will happen eventually
as iblieve has concurred.

Believing can make it so.
Speak it. Say the word.

(welcome, my friends)

sweet yellow flowers
entertain hummingbirds
while hawks sail cloudy sunbeams

spring smells of chamomile
wild datura thistles
bees and butterflies pollen date

it's a short window of chance
this weather of bearable harmony
a moment of refresh before the storm

Cleaned my slate
with sulfuric acid and gasoline
got the thing perfectly clean
but it was my terrible fate,
to see it crumble to bits when I laid down a line
notebook meanders and bad deads
keeping track of sowed seeds,
and now I find myself lost, spirit in decline,
Oh hurry brightsunshine
before I lose what's left of my mind.

Etymology: Latin vernalis,
alteration of vernus,
from ver spring;
akin to Greek earspring,
Sanskrit vasanta
1 : of, relating to,
or occurring in
the spring
<vernal equinox>
<vernal sunshine>
spring has sprung
everywhere but florita
keeps on swaying
in the breeze
as rosario mmmmm
slumbers into fall
and the polar bears fall
prey to the greenhouse
gasses and the grasses of
greenland flourish once again
with wildflowers in spring
all along the plain
in spain
a vernal rain.

If you see another doreen peri
wandering around this place,
don't believe it's her! It's not!
I dropped my wallet somewhere
and she's only pretending to be me.

Happy spring.
What a rude awakening.
