it makes you want to linger in the garden a while

don't it?

There is a gaping hole in the center of our galaxy
Who knows what sh*t is coming our way?
Nature could flush us all away today
Rright now before I can even submit this piss of drivel
Meanwhile here in the garden
"Everything is beautiful
and nothing hurts"
submit

“Don't look back. Something might be gaining on you.” Satchel Paige

Spent so many child hood days locked in a cellar smelling of dead rats and maggots, when the trap door was finally open I would run up those stairs in fear, i could feel the darkness behind me reaching out to pull me down.

I stand with my back to it now
I dread what is before me
not behind.

edit begins here
these are my good old days
I can walk and talk
I can see I can hear
I can still dance if I knew how

life goes on
by crutch or walker
or seeing eye dog
I will walk this walk
with all might.
and pray that a good death will find me.

it is summer
and an old man's fancy
turns towards thoughts of love

the feer of those stairs leading up out of that grave of a cellar stayed with me for almost thirty years. If you can imagine a man in his thirties running up stairs in a panic, with feeling of a presence behind him and the hairs on the back of my neck begining to prickle. ibelieve is a pussy cat. he don't scare me at all. he has very nice night vision. :)

I figure I have just enough time to grow up, if I can quit my suicidal life style.

life indeed goes on
with
or without us

so my thought is

in the mean time
there are so many different
things
and ways
and people
and places
andandands

to love

animals
kids
friends

even a certain few relatives
(but the rest are by appointment only!)

dirt
veggies
fruits
life
bugs
sun
wind
rain
sweat
and
flowers ....

oh my gosh ~ especially flowers

Image
(wisteria blooms, early this may - as seen from our bedroom window)

Image
apple blossoms

Image
peace roses and wisteria running along my back fence

Image
my white irises peeking over the boarder...

and now ~ my summer jasmine...
Image

they'll bloom each year
again and again
and their fragance will waif around
whether I'm here
or gone
hurting or not
for as long as they are allowed

that's why in my yard
they are as free to be themselves for as long as they wish!

I can't bundle them up and send them too you
they'd wilt

but I can post you some photos
with hope they'll inspire
lifiting a world weary heart
and letting lose an forever young imagination wander where ever it will

In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. ...Robert Frost
A catus is a domesticated cat,,

Noun 1. Felis catus - any domesticated member of the genus Felis

kitty-cat, puss, pussy, pussycat, kitty - informal terms referring to a domestic cat
mouser - a cat proficient at mousing

Good with mice, but no match for the wharf rats in our neighborhood near the harbor in Baltimore.

Pictures from the gone world

Foggy summer nights, the glow of gas street lamps, railroad tracks glissening in the cobble stone streets, the looming darkness of boxcars. The chugging sounds of steam trains, the fog horns of the ships coming in to dock

No trees no grass, just my grandmother's garden, I will always remember her fig tree and the morning glories climbing the brick wall outside her kitchen. We lived next door to a junk yard, the men would come with horse and wagons loaded with junk. some of it fell into the gutter. That is how I got my toys, every day was christmas, all my trucks and cars missing wheels, it never bothered me at all. She would collect the broken dolls and use the heads as planters. Surreal to see all those inverted heads with plants growing out of them.

This was probably the happiest place I ever lived as a child. Her house, a gift from crazy mike to his mother in law for the his permission to marry my mother. A three story brick house fit for a Polish lord. Years later when my mother was smarter she asked my grandmother what kind of mother she had been to let her daughter marry a man like that. Her mother's excuse was "I never had a mother"

this makes no sense I am sure
even if it does
what has this got to do with flowers
and summer
nothing except I remember the free summer days roaming the water front in baltimore, innocent, before pubic hair and lust.

If you type a few words
then type more words
on the next line,
is it poetry?

Yes.

I don't have one picture of her where she is not holding a spoon, or standing at a stove cooking.

I have always been surrounded by beautiful women. My Aunt and grandmother in this picture and the lady from coca cola. It was a store front. My grandfather like all Jews was a brilliant business man. If some one came into the store carrying a loaf a bread and wanted to buy a quart of milk, my grandfather would run him off. "Go buy the milk where you bought the bread." He hated to lose a sale.

Listening to Hester's sweet voice on KMUN. She is singing now a little snippet, and a laugh.

Hester's voice
is poetry, perfect
for a Poetry Jam.

Poetry is written
in lines. Thank you, all,
for joining in this
Poetry Jam.

And thank you
to Ms. Jazztoria,
Theda, our dear
Hester.

A beautiful show!

Summer night,
candlelight,
moon rays on
our faces, traces
of family trees,
son and daughter
home for a few
more hours....
stars showered
in a black-drop
sky and I
hear jazz,
a blast of horn,
a wail of melody,
a cry of a voice,
my choice...
so right..
a poetic night.
