worth of a moment,

her back in and she

herself into the scenery
of home, love, their mantra,

the complete planet whirled

each babe awakening
below a cradle,

each rocking the other
each nursing each other
each mama, each saviour,
each father, each stroke,

each awoke
with a passover,
christmas the mythical
mystical blessing,

my candles burn low
oil burner scented with bergamot and cloves
lemon tree bursts with fruit
tiny yellow condiments decorate the yard

it's morning of a new day
sun inches up through the clouds

toys for the kids
music and books for the ones I know more
liquid soaps, calendars and ambient scents for the ones I know less)
I have to say this year was easier...
maybe the next I'll try to be more creative!

I give this holiday to those who gave...to Neal (Cody Pomeroy)...who in the bleakness of lost Denver never found his Father...to Jack who ripped out his liver and offered it to the Buddhas of old around a hobo fire in in arizony.....to sid with eyes like two black holes in the sky , shine on you crazy diamond...to the lizard king...who could do anything....to Jimi who in a purple haze kissed the sky....to Janis who rests with southern comfort...dragged her own ball and chain... and Dr. Thompson shot from a cannon so his consciousness is in the very air we breathe........................

let alone a second coming of a god
in human form, or a first.

the mailman is entirely unreliable.
