Hey man, it's part of the culture wars.
We open the door, it's Pandora's box.
But hey, there's hope.
Because it is a leverage issue, not a non-issue.
When gay folk are legally married in this "country,", well,
we'll finally be straight with human nature in a positive way.
An maybe folk will be more awake, quien sabe?
More awake means more questioning of authority, imperial, economic, military-political.
So yes, I see homophobia as a wedge issue.
Here's Cadillac Frank in his "Rodin"pose:

A tortured soul in hell, for sure!

Of course, Jim:
It is a "wedge" issue.
I simply wasn't speaking in political, but rather strictly human , compassionate terms. But this little screen and its one-dimensional beam is not very subtle.
By "total non-issue" I meant unimportant compared to the barbarity of killing civilians at random in Iraq, blowing the arms off four-year-olds, trashing the environment and the Constitution simultaneously, and turning Thought Police like Ashcroft and torture schmoozers like Gonzalez loose on the minds of the tv-mesmerized knuckleheads.
Nice drawing. I like the line and wash combination here. You got talent, son. Getcha a pencil and paper and muuuuv' ta Nashville!
